My biggest coaching issue is our breakouts. Any pressure from forecheck and we have no answers.

I’m really surprised Berube let’s the team do all the stick checking. If the team just finishes checks instead of swinging a stick it’s a different tone to the game and it always causes turnovers.

It’s lasted so long that I have to put it on Berube.

We look terrible. No forecheck. No cycle. Cant complete passes. It’s hard to blame system when execution is so bad.

I don't see anyone blaming the system that won us a cup. I was just saying that the system is built on hitting, and if that ingredient isnt there, then we aren't creating the chaos needed to win. The players also look out of sync as well.

He's their backup, there's certainly no plan to lean on him in the playoffs. Grubauer is having a great year.

Would be a great first round match up between the Blues and Avs, certainly closer than the standings say it should be. Let's hope it happens so we can see some real playoff hockey rather than the Avs just destroying Arizona.

We win that game with a competent top unit PP. We went 1 for 5 on the PP with the 2nd unit getting the only goal. Tarasenko is still inexplicably on the top unit. Despite having an aversion to one timers for his entire career, his spot on the PP is only effective if the player is willing and able to one time the puck. Too bad we don't have a different left hand shot who is known for his ability to one time the puck from the right point/circle.

Whoever is running the PP should be removed from that role. The 2nd unit has looked better than the top unit for weeks now and our PP is killing momentum more often than not.

7 games without a PP goal from the top unit, unless you count Barbashev scoring a PP goal while we were dicking around in that 9-1 win.

They don't have to be better than CO, just better than Arizona. Did you see the Avs vs Coyotes last year in the playoffs? It was a waste of time. The Blues would certainly put up a better fight, the last few games between the two have at least been competitive. Might not have gone the Blues way, but certainly not blowouts.

I'll be hoping the Blues can grab the 4th spot.
