MSL? Yes, please. Make it happen.
Kesler? Sure. Why not?
Callahan? Ok.
Stastny? Unquestionably.
Miller? No complaints here.
Legwand? Ok.
Who am I leaving off?

The fact that Kesler is now a reasonable option makes this trade deadline extremely exciting.
We could be in on Miller, Callahan, Kesler, and Legwand. And then there is the St. Louis situation. Not sure if I'm missing any others, but we finally might have a trade deadline live up to the hype.
If we can get Kesler or Miller, I would be really excited. Even though we can do both, I don't even want to imagine what my emotions would be.
I don't think Berglund + Stewart is realistic. I would think they would want a prospect and or a pick. I would do Rattie + Stewart + pick swap where we trade down. I'm not sure as far as the picks are concerned to be honest. I could see the Nucks wanting Berglund instead of Stewart, I'd be fine with it, although my preference would be to keep Berglund.I wonder how far off Berglund and Stewart would be.
If they come cheap. If not...It's hard to think about what players would be moving.
When Bob McKenzie brought up that the Blues may be willing to trade Ty Rattie in a Ryan Miller expanded trade, he also brought up Mikhail Grigorenko as a player who could be involved.
Rumor on Sens board of Stewart for Methot at the deadline. Rumor comes from a poster on hockeybuzz who evidently had the inside track on B.Murray being hired. For what it's worth.
Hey guys, Sens fan coming in peace.......This rumor came from someone that called the Murray signing and term before anyone and seems to have solid sources in the Ottawa organization. Having said this, he actually stated that Methot might be traded at the deadline and that Murray is going hard after Stewart. So, Stewart could still be coming to Ottawa but not for Methot......Hope this clears things up
Makes more sense. I don't know what we would ask for from Ottawa though. It's not like we're going to get Spezza or Z.
Z-bad is definitely out of the question but I would be open to trading Spezza. Not sure that our management feels the same way but we are pretty good down the middle for years to come with Turris, Z-bad, Pageau, Smith and Lazar in the very near future. However, Stewart wouldn't get you Spezza.

http://www.stltoday.com/sports/colu...cle_af76130e-6a0e-5e7e-8b83-af3213dc4b75.htmlThe Blues have once again reaffirmed their faith in Halak, offering unconditional support following his depressing Olympics experience for Slovakia. Armstrong knows that Halak makes fans nervous. But the GM is confident.
“St. Louis historically has been a graveyard for goaltenders,” Armstrong said. “I’m not being critical of the fans, but it doesn’t seem like they’ve ever been happy with who’s in the net. Jaro doesn’t deserve to have the past put on him."
Because of injuries, “Jaro has been our starting goaltender for exactly two playoff games,” Armstrong said. “He hasn’t failed. He’s going to have the opportunity to show what he’s capable of. That’s how it is in sports. Until you win, you can’t win.”
This entire Miller situation is so bizarre.
Armstrong was on record today really putting his trust into Halak. And it doesn't sound like the standard B.S. Seems like he sincerely meant it. Here's the exact quote:

When he speaks you'd think we would have no interest at all in Miller. Yet there is still so much smoke regarding the Blues and Miller. With all the speculation and rumors there has to be something going on there, especially when guys like McKenzie are hinting at it.
I will give Armstrong credit, he keeps his hand close and doesn't let you know what he's doing. So I don't know what to expect at the deadline.

You basically summed up why I think it was bizarre, the fact that he usually doesn't go against his word, but there's too much Miller speculation for him to truly be that comfortable with Miller. It isn't Bizarre at all. He is backing his goalie. I would bet he has been called/or called on Miller. I also bet he didn't like what he heard and now he is letting everyone know NOT to expect a goalie trade - using the media to deliver a Not changing the goalie so live with it message.
I don't think, based on Armstrong's past that he would say one thing and do another. Jaro has been good for the team this year. We will see what he can do.
He does play things close to the chest so we will see if we are active at the deadline. It is interesting that Stewart was mentioned in the article by the author.

All Miklasz said about Stewart was the Blues need more out of him, which everyone already knew so that's not saying much.
