We get it. You like Perron and not Backes.

I was going to respond to that post in agreement about Backes tonight and recently, but then I read the last line. Sigh.

Getting pretty old hearing about Perron when no one is talking about him.

The Blues don't always **** the bed in the 2nd...But when they do, it's Mama Grape-esque.

Well Stillman, the Nucks own the Rivermen and the Blues tonight. Anything else you want to sell them?

still though. schroeder deserves alot of credit for that pass and weise made a good play to finish. gotta give credit to them. took advantage of our laziness and made us pay

It was a sick play, but the Blues have to close that gap when they have numbers.

Schneider has played well tonight and made a few key saves, but this has everything to do with the Blues being outworked and outskated. Schneider hasn't been challenged much at all.

These games are going to happen. You're going to lose to good teams during the season. I just don't want this quality of play to carry over to the 3 very winnable games coming up(2 against Edmonton, 1 against Calgary). Hopefully these next couple of days off get the team going again. Adding Oshie should help too. We have to avoid turning this into a prolonged losing streak.

What gets old is the "trade Perron" crap because he makes a good scapegoat for people sleepwalking though games.

Backes gets a free pass on here as do several others. Just pointing that out. I don't need posters agreeing with me when I am right.

How does Backes get a free pass? How many people have talked about his lackluster play this season? Seems like it might be more than the people that have talked about Perron's lackluster play at times.

Oooooh. You know it's bad in the locker room when Panger has to interview the opposition. :amazed:

Pang said something about interviewing him before the period was over. What are you going to say to a Blues player? What's going wrong out there? There's not enough time in intermission to answer that question.

Short term memory doesn't hold lessons well...apparently.

Pardon?

I think the evidence is starting to pile up that there is friction between Hitchcock's system and the makeup of the roster when all the forwards are healthy.

That goes for the defense as well. Too many people think they're superstars.

Backes does not get a free pass. He certainly doesn't from you, who somehow brings up his play and the "trade Perron" shtick daily. :deadhorse

It's clear you think very highly of your own opinion, I'm confused why you think he gets a free pass when you certainly aren't giving him one.

The problem with STL in games like this,... lack of finish... and it almost always leads to momentum and goals for the opposing team. Why does Jackman suck in Vancouver?

One goal would have changed this game immensely in the first. Oh well, not sure I want them to end up 4th or 5th anyways with LA bound to get one of the two spots.

I mean the players apparently haven't learned the lesson you were alluding to. Hard work trumps flashing some skill.

Well, the Canucks scored 3 goals in a period. No reason we can't also. Hopefully they come out flying.

Ah, my bad.

I think there's a lot of credence to the thought that the Blues might function best with an Anaheim Ducks 06-07 forward makeup with a legit top 6, a defensive responsible 3rd line that can chip in, and an energy line.

I think the roles become more muddied with a more talented lineup.
