Perron truly is annoying to watch. Good lord.

It was more fun watching Sobotka's stupid penalty that ended the game and Backes run around and accomplish nothing. But again, it was Perron's fault the team lost tonight even though he was out of position and helped set up a goal.

They know they are better than some teams but wilt when they meet another good team. Vancouver isnt even good this year, but still they think they are playing some great team and dont play their game when adversity hits. All confidence goes out the window.

Simply, they are weak minded and not confident as a group when something bad happens.

Slightly off-topic, those girls are the best!

I wonder if Steen goes back to center if Oshie comes back Saturday. I'm personally fine with Backes, Berglund, Sobotka, Nichol down the middle.

I know, man. They are the best! Wife material. You can keep them in check.

Exactly, don't give 'em to much. Don't want them getting big heads. :yo:

EDIT: ^I wouldn't mind if they decide to give Cracknell a shot at 4th line center. :dunno:

I'm only going to say this once, so pay attention. Posting about ignore lists is against the rules and considered flaming. Calling other posters stupid (directly or through obvious implication) is considered flaming.

If opinions vary (and they will), you're free to discuss it civilly, agree to disagree, or ignore each other. Continuing with the personal insults will earn infractions AND thread-bans. Do not expect another warning.

We're all fans of the same team here. Leave the crap at the door.

Divers? Check. Whiners? Check. If they would have won this game being the better team I would have different thoughts. They should feel fortunate. Blues let up a bit in the second and didnt dive or whine enough in front of the refs. Its a loss.

We weren't the better team tonight. We hung Allen out to dry for about 20 minutes with defensive lapses that I haven't seen in college hockey games. The Blues didn't deserve to win tonight.

I just don't like how Vancouver "plays" the game.

Ignoring the arguing. I am happy we didn't give up. So even in a loss I'm happy we didn't give up.

We rarely give up, the problem is actually turning up for 60 minutes. It is totally unrealistic to expect us to play well for 60 minutes every game, but the mental errors that are continually occurring need to stop.

The first goal tonight was a tough one to lose; Polák might have been out of position, Russell might have done better, but the defensive positioning means that doesn't lead to a goal the vast majority of the time. It was a great shot. We then collapsed. Showing some fight after you've already bent over isn't going to help us.

Maybe it is the fact the skiled players don't fit in with the system. Maybe it is simply that they need time to gel and adjust to it. I think it is easier for the less skilled players to fit their game into a a pretty tight system.

Vancouver is such a classless organization. Slew-footing guys. Diving left and right, bullying guys after the whistle for no reason. And their history of things prior to just tonight.

Just such a classless organization, top to bottom.

I know its easy to hate us but come on...

Meh, it was a loss. We should have played for 60 but we only played for 40. On to Saturday.

On another note, I thought Frank played well tonight and looked a little more involved defensively. I still wish he would just shoot everytime he gets the puck on his stick because everytime he does it either goes in or gives up a juicy rebound

5 shots and no goals in 1st period, a no show in the 2nd, and too little too late comeback attempt in 3rd all but ended when Canucks play keep away with the puck for more then a minute on a delayed penalty leaving about a minute left on the clock after the penalty kill... yep not a good mix to win a road hockey game vs a very good opponent last night... C'mon man... Yes I'm disappointed with yet again another regulation loss.

While that's all nice, doesn't change the way people view their team on the ice. Not following the Blues, I wouldn't expect you to know this, but there have been a ton of losses where the Blues were clearly the better team for 2 periods, and lose the game because of one awful like last night so fans are pretty frustrated. Don't take it too personally.

---------

Kind of glad we don't have a game until Saturday. Last night's loss + my own disagreements with some people here give a nice reason to step away from hockey for a few days.

Schwartz continues to grow as a player as each game goes by. His work ethic is fantastic, his maturity level is so high for his age, combined with his talent and high hockey IQ. He is going to make one hell of a player and could see him being a great leader in the future.

It's amazing to see the new kids doing so well...And they look like they'll be better than them.

I wouldn't be afraid of playing the Canucks in a post-season series. In fact, I think it would be a great series to watch.

For a team with such skilled players, there are too many guys that I can't respect on the Canucks. The antics and the crap with the refs is just too much. Burrows is like what would happen if Perron were a Gremlin and you fed him after midnight.
