Bortuzzo had another great shift, right before the goal. Just wanted to point that out.

Bortz is underrated. Don't want to see him in a foot race as the last guy back, but other than that, he's a sound 3rd pairing guy IMO.

I love Kyrou's game, especially his ability to create space in the offensive zone when he is seemingly absolutrly smothered. He creates quite a bit of space, seemingly immediately.

You should have heard the Avs pregame. Over and over again about how they were the best team in the league. This is delicious
they did acknowledge the blues would probably have kept first last year if the season played out...but only due to injuries, which was the playoff excuse too. playing the avs 7 more times should be fun. close games i expect and probably a split record, but the avs have more to prove than the blues and that's clear.

Sunny was so key to our Cup year but really wasn’t that good last year. Great to see him start like this.
Sunny scored 12 goals in 57 games while playing mostly on the 4th line and was a plus 5 and great penalty killer. He was fine last season. He wasnt good in the playoffs but that was a long layoff and i think he was one of the players that missed a chunk of the preplayoff training camp.

He was fine, but nowhere near as good as prior year.

MOST of The Blues have done a good job of getting in McKinnon's way tonight, and that's a big reason why they've won this game.
Totally agree Robb. Blues didn’t seem to allow too many high danger chances and definitely not a lot of second chances. For all the defensive change compared to 2019, we look solid back there!
