Quite happy with how things have turned out with prospects this year. Mrsic I thought would have a Kyrou type CHL career and though he's cooled off a bit, he's still scoring at a good clip and leads his team. Super excited for Pekarcik, just seems like he transitions well wherever he ends up. Has had a nice year in the Q. Stancl is the surprise for me as I wasn't sure how he'd transition into the WHL but apparently has been playing lights out two-way hockey and scoring. Jecho I was concerned about in general as a player, but has scored at a ppg, so I'm hopeful he can be a slightly more skilled Toropchenko. Snuggerud on a much weaker team is about to eclipse his point totals from the insane year and has already passed his career high in goals. Burns has pleasantly surprised me with his leadership, play, and insane +/- with absurd pims. Still possible but unlikely he hits 50 points.

Korotky got a promotion and has played well in limited ice time in the KHL. Pretty incredible for a 19 in one of the more wealthier Russian teams. Dvorsky and Kaskimaki have slowed down, but have been impressed with both of them offensively on this mediocre on paper forward group. Love that we have two guys at center who can push each other. Not much to say about L Fischer other than super steady and on the path. I'm very curious about McIsaac and how he develops as I thought he was a standout in the prospects tourney. Only one of the dmen who looked like they could do anything. Stenberg has been totally fine since coming over, Loof has been steady, Jiricek has been unfortunate, Ralph I'm not sure as I haven't seen enough of him, Ellis is god mode right now and so happy for him to be playing well. One that I'm disappointed for is Robertsson. Has been injured a bit this year but when he's been in the lineup, he has impressed on the scoresheet. Wasn't too sure how he would fare coming over here since he stagnated in Sweden, but he proved me wrong and did well in the time he played. Just tough he got injured because it seemed like he was starting to figure out things a bit. Hope he can come back and pick up where he left off and have a good year in 2025-26.

Snuggerud‘s year is hard for me to get excited about. I like that he seemingly has rounded out his offensive game a bit. So that’s good. However I keep feeling like I have to weigh all of this against how many years he has been in college. If this happened last year I would have been more excited. But for a guy at his level, I would expect him to be dominant as a junior.

In the NCAA, he is tied for 6th in total goals and 11th overall in points per game. He is the best player on his team. What excites me is that he has an amazing wrist shot AND one-timer. I can't wait to see him next to Thomas at some point.

And Minnesota doesn't have the same forward talent as say BC, where they have Leonard and Perreault, with Hagens thrown in. Wood is only at ppg, and he's on a different line. Snuggerud has been doing this much more on his own.

Korotky fetches the puck and feeds it to the blue line for a secondary PP assist

I'm very impressed with Korotky's production in the KHL given his age (19) and ice time. He may be the most under-the-radar, dark-horse prospect the Blues have in the system right now.

If Snuggs has a playmaking center and a puck hound on his other wing, he’s going to be a perennial 30g scorer. He’ll just need to learn to play a better 2-way game, which he will.
