Patrick Roy is an awful coach lol.
Pulled the goalie with 12 mins left last night.
In a 3-0 game? Against Anaheim? That’s not revolutionary or outside the box thinking it’s just dumb.
Like that was cute when he first did it at like the 3 or 4 minute mark.
This is almost assuredly ending with him getting fired at season’s end (Lamoriello should be gone first, but he’s rigged it so the Isles can’t really replace him with anyone but his failson currently running the Bridgeport Not-Tigers into the ground) so he’s probably just in full DGAF mode.

Philring got the better of him there though.

Let's see:

- Avs win 6th in a row
- MacK hits 1000 points
- Wedgewood shuts out the Hawks while channeling prime Hasek
- 2025 Stanley Cup Champion Edmonton Oilers lose to the most pathetic franchise in the league
- And the Red Wings take a devastating 4 point loss that seriously hurts their wild card chances

Yeah, a pretty good night of hockey overall, I'd say.

It's honestly like Rantanen is a name brand now. Mikko is a Porsche, while Necas is a Mazda MX5. You pay 50k more for the Porsche, but each one has four wheels, a nice engine, good steering, and even though Porsche is a bit better at everything, the Mazda MX5 is an amazing car in of itself. Plus the Mazda is a lot better in reliability than the Porsche's work ethic.

At least a 50k overpay is better than the typical Avs 250k overpay

Dennis Bernstein keeps calling Necas "Neckar" and it's driving me nuts. Dude, Dennis--Stanislav hasn't played in the NHL since 2004! And he had a career total of 12 GOALS in 510 games played.

wow for the first time in months I was able to catch a game from puck drop to finish and it was a hell of a game. Ducks 4 Caps 7. no Ovie goal but he had 3 assists, Protas with a hattie, Fehervary a beast... Thompson was shaky, probably one of his worst games all season, Dowd looked drunk, Carlson wasnt having a good night neither but is fine. I was always a big believer in the Caps young guns (McMichael and Protas) but man, Protas is becoming even better than I Imagined. Tage Thompson WHO?
