My French is terrible, but when listeneing to French broadcasts, it sounds like the 'd' in Bolduc is pronounced like a 'dj' sound with almost a 'z'-type sound.

I don't know which broadcast you're listening to but the d is the same in english and french. The difference is with the u. :)

IDK which broadcast it was and it's difficult to parse out each syllable, but the inflection on the 'u' also makes sense. Thank you!!

It's not like he was lighting the lamp before the injury so idk what your implying.
I was just following up on the statement that he has played great since he came back from his injury in February. Just speculating here, but perhaps the reason he wasn't lighting the lamp before was because his injury was hindering his performance. Obviously, it's not bothering him at all now.

He wasn't injured the QMJHL stopped a month and a half because of COVID.

I can't say really because I don't know how inflated the Q's scoring was back in the 70's, but since February, he's scoring at like a 1.72 clip in points and he's scoring at a goal a game pace (26 games). He struggled early on in the year, but he has been unreal since he came back from injury in February.
i looked up LaFleur's last season with the Remparts. He accumulated 230 points in '70-71. He scored an amazing 130 goals in 62 games.

Its not fair to compare Bolduc to La Fleur, who was one of the greatest goal scorers ever! Bolduc's numbers are pretty impressive. Maybe he can become our version of"numero dix" (LaFleur's number was ten."

The only time he missed because of an injury was during the Blues camp. He missed 2 games in February because of COVID.
Seems like his early “struggles” this season were likely due to recovering from the injury and Covid. I hope what we’ve seen from him since February is the real Bolduc - he’s been on a tear.

Wasn't there a report that The Blues, Bolduc, and Roy sat down and reworked Bolduc's diet and workout routine due to Bolduc having issues with his energy levels?

Button just put out his top 50 NHL-affiliated prospect list. Power is #1, Sanderson #2, Bolduc is only Blue on it at 16. 9th highest forward.

I'd trade anyone but Thomas to get Power or Sanderson in STL. Power looked very good playing 20-minutes and going +2 against the Leafs. Sanderson is going to be a stud too. Luke Hughes and Simon Edvinsson would be high on my target-list too.

I feel very strongly that Neighbors would be in there in he had not been injured over the past months or two. I don’t know when exactly he went down. But he is back now and doing what he does.

Thank you for sharing this.

On a side note, I watched this video and in the celebration it looked like he was being dwarfed by his teammates. I didn't remember him being particularly small, so I looked it up and he's listed at 6'1. My next thought was that it was a strange camera angle so I looked up the player closest to the camera's height, Crevier and that answered my question. Dude is 6'8?! Good lord.

Hahaha yes they all look like dwarves next to him. He’s drafted and signed by Chicago so you might see him with the Blackhawks eventually.
