That didn’t age well.
I guess he was right about Alvarez.

Yep, great pitching always beats great hitting.I hope so. Tremendous player in his era. I agreed with his ban in the 90’s and still would have today if professional sports hadn’t decided to get in to bed with gambling. It was hard to justify the ban after that.
They had good pitching all season. That’s what it takes to win.
This is what happens when team owners are more interested in ball park renovations, season tickets and merchandise than on field performance.
It’s clear that the expectations of this mgmt group are minimal and probably more attuned to PR than anything else.
Vladi’s career will be squandered with the Jays.
This should make Jays fans feel better.
What did Atkins say? I’ve somehow managed to miss all season ending interviews with the Jays this week. After what Atkins said I wouldn't be surprised if his interest of spending his career with the Blue Jays has waned quite a bit.

Kinda makes me think that they’re miles apart on a new deal and it’s going to get ugly.
And this was right after Schneider was asked the same question and answered that he did think Vlad was generational. So there's still a huge disconnect between management and the manager. Also idk what the f***ing foresight was in insulting your star player before entering into an arbitration cycle.

When a team has been in decline since 2021, you expect mgmt to address that and up their game. Get more aggressive in their evaluations, development, acquisitions.…the works.

Vladdy is very very good and his game has definitely grown during his time in TO. But agreed, he’s not in that unique category. To me, Generational = you will not see a player of that ilk in this generation of players. He’s not even close to being the best player in MLB at this time, ie Judge. It’s similar to discussions about the HHOF, it’s at the point that many good players get inducted who didn’t necessarily match up with true HOFers.Ohtani is generational. So was Ruth. So were a few others. The key is a "few others".
A really dumb question by the reporter.
Eat shit Brewers.
*Its in the top of the 9th so this post may not age well if Milwaukee comes back in the bottom half.
What a way to lose. Milwaukee had the game in hand and the Mets had nothing going through 8 innings. I felt bad for the Brewers fans who were stunned watching that ninth inning. Probably could have heard a pin drop in that building.Eat shit Brewers.

Hard luck Brewers. I like their team and will generally back small market teams especially against the Mets who were an NL East rival of my beloved Expos. Razor thin line but modern era baseball the home run is king. Never out of a close game with four base hitters in your lineup.Wow, Mets come back from the dead to win it in the 9th. Alonso the hero.
I'll route against everything that guy likes. Shows up way too much on my instagram feed and the guy is just disgusting to listen to.Frank The Tank has me rooting for the Mets this fall.
That sounds like a you problem, b.I'll route against everything that guy likes. Shows up way too much on my instagram feed and the guy is just disgusting to listen to.
Quite possibly the worst guy I've ever heard talk about sports
