I like the iso and love the bat to ball skill. I actually classed up the power from 45 to 50 in April prior to the shoulder injury when I saw the bat speed and pop. It's fluent for me.
The 65 I'll go to war on. He's had a wRC+ Of at least 120 at every level, and has shown the ability translate against major league pitching. The approach is tremendously mature for the age too. Again, my opinion, but I'll call it 65 for sure.
*** should note for clarity, I use 20-80 scale. 65 FV is .290 BA in the majors. 50 FV is 15-18 HR.

You might be upset, then, when we move both of them for Sonny Gray
can someone put the Tulo deal in hockey trade for me.
We traded:
Nylander (hoffman)+ Lupul (reyes) + Percy (castro) + A. Johnson (Tinoco)
For
Jeff Carter (Tulo)
I'd like someone else to take a stab but I'll add that Hoffman isn't as good as a prospect as Nylander and Tulo is better than Carter.can someone put the Tulo deal in hockey trade for me.

As a Leafs fan, do you do that trade?

Watching the Jays in 30 ... Man Tulo crushed that home run. And instantly the reality sunk in of how ridiculous having Tulo - Donaldson - Bautista - EE in the line up (in no matter what order).. Wow
I was at the game tonight, Tulo has been one of my favorite players for a long time. He plays SS but sure as hell doesn't hit like your average SS. This lineup is filthy, and you could go beyond those sluggers at the top of the lineup. If Pompey comes around and Travis gets healthy, we have easily the deepest lineup and baseball and the best lineup we've had since the WS teams, possiby even better than those championship teams.
Pompey
Tulo
Joey Bats
Donaldson
EE
Martin
Colabello
Saunders
Travis
Filthy lineup, no weaknesses.
Why do people need the equivalent hockey trade? The impact of a player is much different in both sports so you really can't compare
Would rather see
Pompey
Donaldson
Bautista
Tulo
EE
Smoak
Martin
Travis
Pillar
Some of us don't follow baseball the same way we follow hockey.
At least I find it helpful
Probably more like Peter Forsberg circa 2004....
After being in Seattle on the weekend I got to thinking about teh whole "OMG the RC turf is so awful for defenders!" issue.
I know grass is a few years away, but if the Argos are out of the arena and the Jays are the sole primary tenant, why not take out the turf on the basepaths entirely and have a normal fully dirt infield/basepath area instead of just circles of dirt at each base and then the other lines painted on the turf? Wouldn't the real dirt be a more familiar and less wonky substance to play regularly on than the field turf? Especially because it means that unless the IF has to play deep, they're diving on dirt and not into the field turf that sprays up those little black rubber pellets and whatnot.
Seems like a reasonable halfway solution until they get the real grass in.
Hamels officially off the block now that he's a Ranger.
How serious are the Jays in terms of the Price bidding war? I read something on facebook that insists they're in on him now. Looking at one of San Diego's guys might be a bit more cost effective.
The Dodgers want in on him too, so that complicates things.
