Forwards looking better than I thought, Binnington will have to be extra special all year.

The defense - very concerned.

Woke up seeing the score, stats and progress here and on bigger channels.

A couple of Q's:
*After getting 6-0, I reckon we slowed down?
*The captain without points, while nearly everyone else got ones. Something to worry about?
*Anyone got a look on special teams? Not thinking points and shots. Thinking chemistry?

In general, it is good to end preseason on a high note (ding, ding), which will hopefully lead to a more confident start of the season.

To top it off, I like that "no one" believe in our chances this year. I do think we have a contending team, especially if or when Sunny returns being as solid as he was. The more the experts talk about other teams being favs, the better it is. We must not forget what happened the last time we had a full season to play...

ROR isn't playing with regular season intensity at all yet. For that matter, neither are Schenn, Buch, Perron, or Saad. I don't think it's anything to be concerned about.
Special teams ... the only thing that looks different is a bit more aggressive on puck on the penalty kill. If a puck gets loose or bobbled, the PKers are quicker to pounce and "swarm". Better than the ultra passive approach of last year IMO.
Power play ... the blues are working on passing through the seams. Sometimes forcing passes through lanes that aren't lanes at all. We have plenty of talent and options on the PP. Not sure we have the defensemen to be great on the PK. Buch made a big difference to the PK for the Rags. He and ROR could be the 1st unit PK forwards. They could get some shortys. Buch had one from Schenn in chicago.

Up six to nil against a mostly AHL team in a meaningless pre-season game pretty much had the team playing not to get hurt at that point. They put in their time and called it a day. Personally, I'd probably have pulling Binnington after the first goal to keep him from the possibility of getting hurt. Otherwise, no injuries sustained, call it a pres-season and get ready for Colorado.
