I'm not watching the game, it's my birthday party and I have to say "f*** you Caps, thanks for the non gift. Hope we beat you in 4"
when did he say that? It’s all on Nick tomorrow night. He’s the one that said he didn’t want help. It’s all on his back now.
Washington could also just be choosing their 1st round opponent and not playing hard on purpose.Columbus don't look fatigued at all. I'm thinking Washington will be hoping for a Habs win I know I would be.
Caps with 75% on the deserve to win meter. The Jackets goalie is keeping them in it, 20 shots in 50 minutes in a do or die isn't exactly unbelievable
hopefully by our own hand. This will be the worst way to miss the playoff. We can still miss the playoff. COlumbus are on a mission and I can see them winning all the games. We really need to beat Chicago....stupid Caps. Wishing them a prompt 1st round exit![]()
He didn't say he didn't want help, he said he doesn't want us to trade guys and sell. I doubt he went to Hughes begging not to get an upgrade on Pezz/Roy/Kapanen/Heineman.It’s all on Nick tomorrow night. He’s the one that said he didn’t want help. It’s all on his back now.
lol no he did not say that. He said he didn’t want the team to sell off for futures because he believed in his team. I’m sure he would have loved some help. Big difference. He wanted the best chance they could have to make the playoffs. It’s all on Nick tomorrow night. He’s the one that said he didn’t want help. It’s all on his back now.
“I’ve hated trading all these teammates & good players for the last few years. It’s definitely nice & refreshing (this year). We have a lot of belief in the group. The guys that were rumoured to be traded got a weight lifted off their shoulders...”- Nick Suzuki today
I've removed by accident what I had wrote before the tweet....but it was written he did NOT say exactly that. True, that does NOT mean don,t give us help. But if the help has to come with having to trade teamates???How does this equate to "I don't want any help"
I doubt it. Washington tried in this one they just weren't opportunistic. Goaltending is the great equalizer as we all know.Washington could also just be choosing their 1st round opponent and not playing hard on purpose.
No arguments there about goaltending.I doubt it. Washington tried in this one they just weren't opportunistic. Goaltending is the great equalizer as we all know.
Columbus has fewer holes than we do by quite a margin IMO.
Getting outshot 142-75 over 4 of the most important games of the year (2 of which we miraculously won due to great goaltending and one of which we got to OT thanks to great goaltending) would be choking away a spot when we had a 99.something% chance of making the playoffs at the start of the week.
You don’t get dumped head first in a garbage can and hand over your lunch money without a fight two days in a row. Caps were outscored 11 to 1 with an AHL goalie with barely any NHL experience playing on the back to back for the BJ!!!!It's funny the amount of our fans who think the caps are playing for real. They are just chilling like most top 10 teams. There's 4 teams in the top 10 who have more than 5 wins in their last 10.
The last two tie-breakers for Playoff qualification are:I thought wins & losses, or points, were all that counted for playoff qualifications...
Winning the shooting stat line is largely irrelevant.
I suspect he didn't want Hughes to dump players for futures. HuGo would not be happy if he said he didn't want then to add anyone.when did he say that?
