Yup Gold Member was a happy camper last night.

Zach Schoen Ellingson OL Willie Rutledge Jeffcoat were all outstanding!

3 missed kicks in a row by Leggs was the only sketchy thing. Taylor got burned twice but was close to breaking it up. Rose got burned once.

great coaching!

Nick Arbuckle to Ottawa. That guy is turning out to be Kevin Glenn like mover but...faster. Since 2019

2019: Calgary backup, gets in when Bo's hurt and makes a name for himself as a young up and comer
2020: Neg rights traded to Ottawa, signs new deal, season cancelled never plays
2021: Signs with Toronto, battles back and forth eventually losing to MacLeod Bethel-Thompson for starting gig
2021: Traded to Edmonton, put on ice by the old management for 2022
2022: Re-works his contract to lower it overall while getting more guaranteed. Edm bring in 8 different QBs to compete with him. Wins the job out of camp despite that all, albeit with a tenuous hold on it.

2022: Quickly abandoned by EDM, traded back to OTT with the Masoli injury. Yet another chance at starting likely incoming.

Guy gets around.

Four games for what’s his face in Suckskatchewan.

Only 2 for the actual hit on Masoli which they acknowledged was continued retaliation from a previous play, 1 for a previous retaliation hit against an offensive lineman's leg, and then only 1 for racism. What a f***ing joke.

And he's a repeat offender.

The CFL f***ed up not going longer.

Edit to add: There should be pressure on Saskatchewan to release that blight on the league.

Seems to me the CFL was taking notes from the NHL DoPS.

It was designed like that to avoid appeals I think. The CFL has quite literally never suspended anyone for longer than 2 games. By breaking it up into 2 games/1game/1game they can basically make it appeal proof. A longer suspension would have likely ended up bogged down in appeal and Marino plays this week.

Not saying I agree at all, but I think that's their reasoning, IMO.

Carlton Agudosi makes his CFL debut tmw night. Made the PR last year after they had ~15 rookie WR in camp and spent the year on PR. Was an early front runner for a spot in camp, but got injured and eventually Schoen won the spot (no regrets there obviously). But excited. Is apparently a 50/50 ball specialist with great hands, aided by his 6'6" frame. Kinda low key very excited to see him play.

Brendan O'Leary-Orange. He was injured very early in the BC game, moved to 6 game IR. Unfortunately for him one game against TOR was all he really got in his starting opportunity, where he was targeted just once, 0 catches. But hell be back as hes a Canadian who fills a backup role.

Luckily the Bombers have been starting 8 Canadians, so they can make the 1 for 1 move here replacing a Canadian for an American. Means itll be a little trickier to get Greg McCrae in, likely see him rotating in for Agudosi at SB as well as having Augustine probably out running routes at SB, with McCrae at HB from time to time.

Full list of changes. Other changes have pre-Season stand-out Jamal Parker also making his CFL debut as a backup DB replacing Evan Holm, and STer Cedric Lavigne coming onto roster to replace depth DE Mack to keep ratio.

I would have elevated Grant first... plus I still hold out hope for the 2 RB backfield once in a while - plus Grant has shown he can catch a ball at speed...

Cool to see Hansen and Maruo on the roster...

I'd love to see Grant get more involved in the offense. But the Bombers have just not schemed for a small speed based WR. And thats been going on for years. Lucky Whitehead started his career in WPG, primarily as a returner but had some success at WR as well. Yet was a healthy scratch by late 2019 into Grey Cup 2019. Has since become a top end WR in BC. Grant could be same story, they just arent interested in that type of WR in their system. Right or wrong, its been consistent for many years now. Likely means Grant leaves soonish for a chance to play O elsewhere, but hey if theres one thing Bombers seem to be able to find its returners. Recall RB McCrae and DB Holm were both recruited to help with return game as well.

They are expecting a decent crowd tonight. Two undefeated teams, beautiful weather. Should be a good test. I'm honestly not that concerned no matter which way tonight goes. 6-0, great gives us the tiniest bit of separation at the top. 5-1, meh 2nd in West, Calgary ain't going 18-0, lots of season left. A little adversity isn't a bad thing, better to get it out of the way now.

So somebody at 6-12/7-10 in the east is most definitely going to be hosting a 10-8/11-7 4th place west team in the East semi-final eh?

Like right now Edm is dead last in the west at 2-4. The East is a combined 2-14. Unreal.

@WaveRaven agreed on last night. I was cackling as Maciocia melted down as always. He is a terrible terrible coach. They sunk their season as soon as they fired Khari. Would love if the Bombers could get him on staff as an offensive consultant for the rest of the year, he has those big play ideas from both his playing and coaching days and it's one aspect the Bombers O is weak on. Khari will be a head coach in the CFL again very soon, in fact if O'Shea retired today, I'd want Khari as our HC tmw.

Oh, aren't they just so clever? Should we designate a home game each year against BC as the Vanilla Bowl? Maybe we could get Vanilla Ice to perform at half time. How about a tribute band called Milla Vanilla, featuring Milla Jovovich on vocals? I don't know if she can sing, but all she has to do is lip sync, right?

She has my permission to attend as many games as she wants!

Nearly 29K tickets sold as an hour or two ago. Gonna be a rocking crowd tonight. With the Friday night and the weather, I'm guessing they'll clean up at the beer lines tonight. Should be a good time tonight! Trying to go 6-0 for the first time since 1960!
