Great coaching on the defensive side. After the really rough start only allowed 7 points. Scoring 36 points, going to win us alot of games

Same rule exists in the NCAA, only difference is that it's 15 yards instead of 10.

Didn't know that. Regardless I think it's an odd penalty to award a first down.

Still enjoy watching CFL but love to laugh at it's silliness sometimes.

Nice comeback win by the Bombers. Really impressed by Willy's arm.

mad at myself for forgetting about the game. not used to being able to watch these from the states. caught the 4th quarter though. reminds me why cfl is so much more exciting than nfl.

yeh.
Him and Willy are really great finds.
their O line is paper thin. fix that up somehow and this looks to be a good team.

Moore as well. Really knows how to find those soft spots in the zones.

The O-Line was never going to be a quick fix. Have to say that Bellefeuille is doing a good job taking pressure off them, emphasizing short passing and some misdirection off playaction fakes.

Interesting game. It feels like its been a while since the bombers have had coaches who can make the adjustments so well. D was getting lit up but they adjusted. All in all a character win. Nice of O'Shea to give that clap to the crowd for making the last two series so tough on Burris. props to Willy for gutting it out with the injurred theowing hand.

On a side not I think the Ottawa uniforms looked great and the R on the helmet brings back the memories.

2-0 is a nice start.

Yeah. Wasn't impressed initially but as the game went on, it became apparent this had more to do with adjustments and not really knowing what was on store from the Redblacks

Nice to see Ottawa back in the league but happy we didn't become a history maker in the wrong way ;)

I hope Willy's hand is okay. That messed his zen up

Those penalties need to go

Great game to be at, but the Bombers holes have been exposed a tad. (Though Willy looked good outside of the one INT.)

Best part of the night as my buddies and i were walking to the car via the university bike path (We have a friend near by who let us park at his place) a guy slowly passes on a bike, honks a cheesy horn and proclaims:

"WILLY STARTS SOFT AND THEN GETS HARD! DOWN WITH SAM KATZ! DREW WILLY FOR MAYOR!"

That feeling of hope...it's awesome and actually legit at the same time.

Drew Willy is playing so amazing right now.
There will be stronger tests to be sure but early signs are good.
First game was a statement! This is MY HOUSE!
Second game was a statement again. You don't get to waltz in and embarrass me in MY HOUSE
He battled through took his lumps weathered the storm settled in late in the game and got the job done.

His tsn post game he blamed himself for all of his missed passes, passed of any mention of success on to his D, his squad, and his coaches.

Hope

I really like he was accountable for his play and knew it was on him for those missed passes. Good sign of a leader. Too bad someone else we all know who doesn't do that.

the away jersey/logo is really, really nice.
the home one? not sold on it.
not as horrible as Calgary (worst in the league), but nowhere near the best (BC's home jersey's beautiful and i've grown to like the Eskimos' road jerseys a lot)

I think the Bombers' success will rely solely on how healthy they can stay this year - the team they fielded last night could go to the finals, but after a few key injuries I don't think they will be able to sustain that level of play.

There were some pretty good streams for the game last night, so I sent one to my friend in the US and he watched most of the game. Kinda cool to share the game with people down south haha. I think he was more excited to see Canadian commercials though.

Was pretty bummed about the 3 TD possessions in the 1st, but I guess I have this thing called "hope" now and kept cheering.

Went to my first Bomber game at Investors Group Field last night.

IGF = Awesome!

Bombers = Win!

Going onto the field after the game = Cheerleaders!

That was one of the most exciting, enjoyable football games I've seen in over 40 years as a Bomber fan. Looks like good things are to come...

Was at the game, first time sitting upperdeck and loved the view. Couple thoughts

-Redblacks looked scary at first, but we adjusted well. Redblack fans will have a good product to watch this year I think.
-Sitting uptop, you truly notice how empty those lower bowl corner sections are. Are they really bad seats?

If Bombers win in Montreal, is 30,000 possible against Edmonton?

Endzone seats are 30-40 dollars and the corner ones jump to $70 so most people are picking side or endzone as the corner is a big jump in price. The corner section had 12 people to start the game and was almost full by the end. Great game, lots of fun, it was really loud in there, love the new stadium and game day experience. They also have pre game party outside the stadium on the east side that they didn't have last year, good times in there before the game, this team is headed in the right direction
Keep winning and over 30 000 will be easy.

I was happy to see the offence adjust against that zone blitzing scheme Ottawa uses. It's a very tough one because your throws have to fit into even tighter windows, and you are going to be under consistent pressure, even tougher when Willy's accuracy in the second half was challenged with his hand issue. He sucked it up and put together a TD drive and a drive to waste clock/score points to win the game.

Willy's outdueled two future hall of fame QB's, that's all you can ask. If he's going to throw for 300 yards every week, we're going to have a reasonable chance to win every week.

It's amazing the difference a coach who has confidence and trust in his players makes. I'm not sure you could match two polar opposites in that regard if you got to pick any two coaches in the world like Burke and O'Shea. On paper this team is not a whole lot better (outside of QB obviously), but man are they unrecognizable next to the 2013 Bombers.

Yeah, there are no silly rules (or silly anything else) in the NFL!:sarcasm:
