Jaymar Johnson and Mario Urrutia both looked real solid in pre-season. Surprising they kept Donovan Kemp over those two.
those were my thoughts as well. hopefully they know what they're doing.

Hey, they're the Bombers... what can go wrong?
You can get away with a weaker arm in the NFL if your reads and release can be defined by the bold.
Meh International REC are a dime a dozen. I'm surprised but not too worried. None of Johnson, Urrutia or Kemp is going to even be on the gameday roster in reality (Denmark, Moore and Kelly are the starting INT REC's on the BB). It's questionable if they would keep a INT REC as a DI (only have 4 DI spots). Bombers will probably run with a DI Returner, 2 backup/ST LB/DB and the last spot will be either extra RB, DE, WR or random).
What does everyone think of final roster and how injuries may affect opener?
CEO-President, GM, and Head Coach are massive upgrades. results may not show it this year but I would say the Bombers have turned a corner and have quality people on the big seats of the bus at the top.
This year will be about progress and definatley not perfection.
Not as bad as it could have been. Most of the starting NI's outside of the guys who are down for the season should be good to go.
Suber and Banks are name players who are down, but guys like Leggett and Johnson were huge in the pre-season and look like real players.
Guys like Kelly and Kuale are CFL equivalents to a guy like Tangradi, look like they should offer a hell of a lot more but never do. I'd rather not have those guys on our team at this point as this is essentially a rebuilding year, not a contending one. Any value they bring as veterans is wasted, those snaps could be used on guys that are trending upward, not stagnant or downward.
Although I do agree with you, we have been hearing similar messages for years.
It's getting stale
Does Ottawa finish with a better record this season?
All I'm asking for is a good season out of this team, sure as hell be a lot better than last years "season"
Kuale I can agree with.. But I have no idea where this picture of Kelly comes from. Last year he pretty much caught everything thrown his way and was very good for us at the end of the year. This year in training camp he has done nothing but make one circus catch after another... Coaches rave about his technique and his skills.
It seems like just because he was a TiCat cast off ppl assume he shouldn't be starting for us. Kelly has done nothing but make plays since he got here. None of the rookie import receivers even came close to him in camp this year.
Kelly made 3 big plays in half a season last year, and did almost nothing else positive. He does just enough to make everyone drool, but he has no versatility in terms of what he can do on the route tree, does nothing in the middle of the field, nothing after the catch. But yes, he'll pull down a few lobs down the sideline, we could probably find 500 NCAA grads from the last half decade who could do at least that if not more.
I don't care too much about what he does in practice, because he's shown over 4 seasons that he won't or can't do it when it counts. At best he's a replacement level player, at best.
Does Ottawa finish with a better record this season? I'm not much of a CFL fan, but I think that is likely.
