What is it that you want BWC? Can some of you pretend, for a moment, that you understand how this league works?

The Hawks are losing because you need to lose to draft high to get players that will eventually help you win. f***ing impatient meathead morons on this board. So insufferable. Just go cry in your rooms after Hawks games instead of posting here.

A night when the kids look great and we have a two goal lead in the third, it would actually be fun to win the game. We’re in absolutely no danger of spoiling the tank.
 
Bedard's line is a work in progress from a d perspective. I'm not sure Bedard in the future is who you want on the ice in shutdown situations.

In a night where the kids looked great and they had a two goal lead (in the second) the Hawks were being out-shot 22-13 going into the third. They didn't deserve to be winning the game, but they were. That's hockey. Winning is fun but right now you really should just focus on the bolded and look forward to the draft.
 
Soda stole is theblisrr point ...terrible 3rd 3rd period riod by the team... Especialyvtge forwardsxwho just quit inthec3rdvperiod..1 shot on goal. STOPPED moving their feet.. Stopped checking...watching with non espobse as TB flipped the switch to constant push and puck onaxstring in5x5 and even more puck controll onthecPps ..Jawksxdmen tried but only so much you can do when forwards just quit no forwards taking pucks backto help relieve pressure on the D and not helping any to stem the barrage on Soda byTB.

Yes you can blame Martinez...the unfortunate stick in the skates accidental..then the fumble/turnover causing TT to take a penalty to prevent a break-away ..But I just mostly blame our forwards whi all wemt MIA ...some earlier even in 2nd period ...and All the forwards retiring for the night inthec4rd period..

Soda and the D left by themselves ..no help from.the guys up front.. quit and stunk..barrage kept increasing and that TB PP is almost inevitable into our net.

Cannot hold leads.. cannot play a full 60.
Cannot respond to opps push.snd takeover of the game.

There are other ways to get better then just tanking and hoping you get the next Kane, Bedard, etc. It would be nice if this team spent some money on quality FAs, or make some trades that actually return value. Not every prospect they have will turn into a superstar and while tonight was nice, the nights the "kids" look good have been few and far between. Surrounding them with trash isn't helping their development I'm sure.

They're last in the league and their last playoff series win (excepting the covid play-in round) was when they last won the Cup. That's inexcusable. But I guess if the building is still full most nights and 98 jerseys are selling like hotcakes why bother putting a better product on the ice?

Another game tonight where they got outworked and outshot to death and the goalie at least saved a point despite the blown lead.
