Blackhawks vs Lightning - 7:00 CST

Bedard's line is a work in progress from a d perspective. I'm not sure Bedard in the future is who you want on the ice in shutdown situations.

Let’s be honest. Bedard’s line is a disaster in the d zone. Them not being able to win a faceoff certainly doesn’t help.

If Crevier sticks in the league for like 10 years, what a story that’ll be.

A 7th round pick basically because he’s big. Gets drafted by a team that blows it up within two years of him being drafted. Still barely good enough for the AHL. Starts getting a bit better. Injuries result in multiple call ups over a few years and he finally manages to stick.

A different organization and he may not even be signed and be in Europe already.

The kids are alright

Like Dach game. Good north south player who can play with skill. Exactly what we need

Crevier is starting to become a player. I’m pencilling him into our future D, even if it’s likely as a bottom pair. Someone said Hal Gill. I see a lot more Tyler Myers.

Nazar is coming on as well. He’s really starting to make plays out there and his speed is beating D consistently. That line with him Bert and Bedard is starting to cook.

He won’t. It’s amazing what some people will run with for such obscure players that have a few good games.

This third line was absolutely atrocious too. All these vets are embarrassing.
I’m sick of shitty vets at this point.

Sucks for this game to end this way, but man, some of you guys are really throwing tantrums in here over a tank season.
I didn’t throw a tantrum but really wanted that one for soda. Instead 2 vets take 2 penalties with 2.5 min left. Wtf.

Another thing to keep in mind for Crevier's play of late is quality of competition. Being paired with Vlasic has him playing some hard minutes. It's not as if he's be sheltered against the other teams 3rd and 4th lines.

On the PK in the last 10 games, that pair played 14:44 PK TOI. The next pairing is Vlasic-Jones at 7:39.

Bedard"s line got onlyv1 shog each...if your top line produced onlyv1 goal but ONLY
3 shog for 60 minutes=pretty bad..
Then in d zone went MIA with rest of the forwards in 3rd period..

Nazar is the best of the top line trio defensively...but Bedard and Bertuzxi stink when a big push cones at them in the d-zone ...Often start without the puck because lose the draw..and then spend copious time hemned in ..Bedard lackluster or plain ineffective checking..and Bertuzzi skating SLOW as if in mud ...getting turnstyled.. unable to win board battles...unable to clear
..whole line not getting pucks back off the opps push attack ..opps control puck long time with inevitable build-up to gettibg a goal scored and tiring out the d on ice having no help defensively from this "top line"..

If top line cannot mitigate their d-zone flaws by scoring more..by posessing more
by getting more shots.on goal ,by.scorimg more ,then itvisxa flawed fail of what is supposed to beca "top line"..

Crevier leading the pack tonight

I missed the game but this Crevier improvement is wild. It would be wild if he could stick as Vlasic's pairing. Their height and reach would be just miserable to play against.

He has taken a MASSIVE step forward in the last few weeks. Early on in the season to me he looked like he wasn't even close to belonging.

Add the 3rd period to the first ~15 minutes of the game and they had 2 shots in 25 minutes. Shirley they aren't giving away games so is it conditioning? That's message board user levels of stamina.

Rough ending, but the first two periods were so good.

The youth movement is in full effect. Especially on D.

I love Dach's game. Such a smart change on Crevier's goal, and he's playing hard but very smart about it. First line generating changes all the time before the 3rd was awesome to see.

Del Mastro was great. Stalled improvement this season and a set back huh? Lmao 😂 He's a tad slower than you'd like but once he gets the reps and adjust fully to the speed of the NHL I think he's going to be a Murphy like player for us but with more situational offense. Really excited for him.

Allan and Crevier were great too. This team needs Jones to go away. Our D is better, it's consistent and hard to play against.

We need these tough losses for the kids to get the necessary reps. But the youth is here and its here to stay.

Soderblom deserved better, but he's been amazing lately. So happy he's turning it around. I'm looking at our player development with Vlasic, Crevier, Soderblom etc. They've been great.

These loser points lately are getting a bit frustrating, 3 in the last 4 games.

yeah, this. Crevier's leap has been massive. as big as Vlasic's was last season, Crevier's dwarfs it. I'd like the sample size to be bigger before anointing him, but he's put himself firmly in the future picture. unbelievable. he should be exhibit 1 on why you don't make definitive statements on prospects. at least giant D men, anyway
