I've watched enough of Gambrell both in Ottawa and San Jose to know he doesn't possess that kind of accuracy.

I know there was a D on the ice on the OT goal, but not a fan of the 3 forward formation that was used again at some point. Things started to go awry at that point... Players not knowing what to do once they lose possession, someone getting stuck on the ice for too long (DBC), etc.

Pretty much. Frustrating loss, but at the end of the say, shit happens, take the point and move on. Bad bounces mean any team can beat any team on any given night. I'd be more concerned if we were dominated tonight, which we weren't. If Gambrell doesn't hit Mrazek's shaft, or if Stutzle scores on any on the million chances he had in OT, we walk away with 2 pts.

Your suppose to go down on 1 knee on that play to ensure you can block the puck standard hockey knowledge and if you arent 100% sure you can block it you are suppose to skate back.

OT goal was just awful from him. Sure its OT and its a 2on1 so you cant put the blame on him but omg he played that horribly. Idk if he was just gassed from the shift but looks like he had 0 care

OT goal looked much worse than it was because there was a pass back and they scored. It’s a last ditch effort I’m not sure what you wanted him to do? He dove, did you want him to throw his stick? Maybe his helmet? Lol

If you go on one knee you eliminate yourself even more from the play because you can get caught flat footed if it goes the other way. It’s just an unlucky play you’re reading into it way too much

And sucks to see Chabot play this badly while he's so young. I was hoping we'd be set with him and Sanderson on the top 2 pairs. Hopefully he turns back into his younger self.

Yeah it's too much of "if this happens or that happens" this season. If this was a rare occurrence, then sure. However, this has happened at least 10-15 times this season. Enough with the excuses

If you hate the dive altogether it’s hard to take your opinion seriously tbh. The sheer amount of ice you cover makes it very effective and no coach will ever dissuade it

Can't say they didn't compete. It was an OT game.
Mistakes on 3 regulation goals were all self inflicted and pretty easily avoidable... Mindset

Ive watched enough of Brent Burns the last 4 years that the dive rarely ever works. It's not worth it because if you miss you're out of the play entirely. If Chabot had stayed up and the pass got across to Johnson, he can stay with AA and take the tap-in away.
