A bit OT but....how is the weather in Montreal right now ? Is it bad ?

Yeah, pretty bad. Very windy, blowing snow, lousy visibility, about 7-8 cm accumulation so far, I'd guess.

Cancelled an afternoon meeting and night out with a friend, so I'm nice 'n warm at home, planning to watch the game right here, while typing furiously in the GDT.

McCarron should be sent down. He's not very effective in the NHL at this point.

Have to agree. I liked his vision when he first came up a year ago, but he's looked overwhelmed most of the time. Still time to develop, but probably has a 3rd-line ceiling if he's lucky.

Interestingly enough, no one seems to understand that Julien is rotating the dmen in order for no one to get rusty despite the fact he has explicitly stated so multiple times. Nope, everyone is just assuming that Julien must be finding something wrong with Beaulieu's game... or preferring Emelin to Beaulieu.

Sure, it might be exactly that. But if there's a rotation system here's the opportunity to give Weber a rest. Markov too, despite the time-off with injury. If this is all about the greater good, all the d-men should be rotated. This move appears too surgical.

My thoughts as well. If you're going to bench somebody for those reasons, why not Markov?

You never stop working do you?

I agree. I am a fan of his. But he's not needed here because we got bigger at TDL. We don't even need his size at the moment. So I would like to see him go down. I think he'd be more useful to the Ice Caps' push to make the playoffs in the AHL than the Habs' end of season.

Bring him back in time for the NHL playoffs. Because whether playing or not, being around an NHL team during the post-season can help him.

The medical journal reported that they found the cure for insomnia: Watch Habs games hahaha!

I expect another boring, low scoring game. Hope we win though

McCarron needs to stop fighting. You can't get better if you are in the box half the game. Julien was not pleased that he fought Nurse.

Statement game if there ever was one. This will show how well we stack up with the top teams come playoff time. Not worried about goal tending and defense is usually steady lately, we need to get on the scoreboard early and keep the pressure one these guys. Crawford will be a challenge though so make his life miserable. 4-2 with an empty netter by Max would be nice.

I agree with this and it is somewhat of a disappointment for me after seeing him win the memorial cup, he reminds me of DLR tbh.
