Euro-2012 for me (soccer). I went to 2 group stage matches, 1/4 and final.

Sad I've never been to an NHL game, way too expensive. Best sporting event i went to was a game between the Raptors and the Heat (Before they got lebron + Bosh)

I was at the first ever women's olympic gold medal fights last year to support Katie Taylor. I also always go to the Irish 1000 and 2000 guineas days and the Irish derby every year.

BCS National Championship 2009, 2012 AllState Sugar Bowl, 2010 SEC Championship, Big Chill at the Big House, like 9 F1 races between Montreal and Indianapolis, buncha world juniors, game 7 pens lightning. Think that's it?

You can get tix on stubhub this year day of the game for under $50. Gone twice this year.

2011 World Junior Championship Gold Medal Game in Buffalo.

A.K.A. 3rd period collapse.

Not many huge events here.
If you count wrestling, Bret Harts first match as a singles wrestler after the breakup of the hart Foundation,, beautiful roll up pin on the Barbarian. I actually got his glasses, was so stoked.

Also, first game at Skydome for Jays, first game at ACC, and first Knights game at JLC. You just knew that first night in London that things were about to change for that team.
