I was lucky enough to be at this game.
The dreaded were due for a loss and our back up is in worries were dashed (thankfully).
The Jets looked like the Harlem Globetrotters about three minutes into the first.
Didn't score but had an extended shift in the O-Zone that looked like men against boys.

Comrie's bad luck was no where to be seen and actually a few of the bounces we got felt like Karma to make up for that.

If you saw me, I was sitting in my Saturn listening to country music in the lower level waiting for the lineup to dissipate...🤠

I don't know if the upper level was better but the lower level was sure slow. I'd say about twice as long as usual. Most people were good about taking turns and letting people in. Doesn't get everybody out any quicker but sure lowers the frustration level.

Binning is a bit arbitrary by nature. 10 games, 16 games, 1st half/2nd half, all well and good. 10 is a nice round decimal number. Very Metric. (BTW: the Jets' December 6-4 is really 6-2-2, so in points% terms it's .700 and January was 6-3-1/.650 - 6-4 makes it look like they were just .600 in both bins, but they were better).

16 game bins make sense because that isolates the crazy hot streak to start the season - and why would we want to do that? Because we're cherry picking, of course! Wait, no - it's because we recognize that hot streak as an unusual event - so separating that from what happened after might give us a better picture of what's more realistic for the team.

The fact that the slump came directly on the heels of the streak is a good example of regression. Then take the two bins together and you get a mean: 15-1-0 + 7-8-1 = 22-9-1 = .703 which is closer to reality than the .937 the Jets were rocking in their first 16 games, OR the .469 in their second 16. Right now they're .718, so pretty close.

The first 16 games was unusual, to say the least. In fact it was record setting. But then the 14 game road trip was also unusual. Combine those 2 stretches and you probably have very close to a real picture of the Jets this year. I make that 73.3 pts% and our actual right now is 71.8%. Close enough.

Edit: Replied before reading your last paragraph. All that arithmetic for nothing.

I had to laugh when I saw this.
I really don’t care if Arniel wins coach of the year … the Cup is the one I want him to win but seriously this is a joke. After Arniel called out the Jets for their worst performance of the year … the Jets have not lost.
7 straight wins ... that alone should get him in the top 2 choices.

But, but, but we are a terrible team and he has us in 1st place. He must be the best coach.

Good deal considering the outdoor lots around the rink are around that or more!

Convention Centre is frequently $10. Was $12 Tuesday. Doesn't seem to be any pattern to the price.
