I have no idea how they are counting attendance lately in the NHL, I've watched games this year where the place is 3/4 full and when I checked the box score the number is much more than what it looked like.

I was lucky enough to be at this game.
The dreaded were due for a loss and our back up is in worries were dashed (thankfully).
The Jets looked like the Harlem Globetrotters about three minutes into the first.
Didn't score but had an extended shift in the O-Zone that looked like men against boys.
Comrie's bad luck was no where to be seen and actually a few of the bounces we got felt like Karma to make up for that.

If you saw me, I was sitting in my Saturn listening to country music in the lower level waiting for the lineup to dissipate...
I don't know if the upper level was better but the lower level was sure slow. I'd say about twice as long as usual. Most people were good about taking turns and letting people in. Doesn't get everybody out any quicker but sure lowers the frustration level.
