Yup, obviously BS statistic. At least you read the "study" finally. Kinda surprising you still wanna die on this hill after doing so though. There were literally people referring to the fact that he kept playing after the intermission as evidence that the shot didn't hurt him.
Obviously BS?
You may want to look again, it was clearly made outside the crease. It was in the paint, very clearly.
Done.I would think so. You could probably send Domi in there thrice as hard and it's still not enough to warrant this sort of outrage
He thought that the cycle of toxicity and banter was for one day onlyHoly shit. I DID ask for toxicity
Stolarz has a 34 game pedigree in a position that is voodoo. I'm not going to say it's a huge blow that one of the Leafs' prior-to-this-season fringe goalies might be out. Of course, if the Leafs lose, it will be the excuse, as if their Hasek was shot and killed by Bennett and the league conspired to not punish him for it.Does same mean different in your world?
What is the agenda? What is the manipulation? Can you actually point to anything that indicates something was manipulated instead of just parroting this nonsense over and over?Yup, obviously BS statistic. At least you read the "study" finally. A headshake after a hit/object to the head does indicate a concussion 72% of the time. How do I know that? Because I have common sense. Reminder, the direct bs statistic you keep defending: "25 seconds after the hit he did a SHAAKE (Spontaneous Headshake after a Kinematic Event) which predicts concussion 72% of the time". That isn't what that study proves. At all.
On any topic of research, blatantly biased/manipulated/agenda driven studies or misrepresentations/conclusions from said studies, actually damage future legitimate progress in a given field/topic.
Mind you, again, I actually agree the shot likely caused the initial concussion. But bringing in obviously trash "science"/"statistics" discredits that viewpoint. No reason to do so. Appeal to authority fallacy.

Your repeated assertion that you have "common sense" is quite literally meaningless. The study, in their own study cohort, actually exactly proves the statement "SHAAKE (Spontaneous Headshake after a Kinematic Event) which predicts concussion 72% of the time", because, in their cohort, that is literally what it did.
Now you can argue that we need to see much larger studies and validate this in (ideally) a prospective cohort before saying that it's generalizable as a sign, but the 72% number is not manipulated in the slightest lol.
It's hilarious that people "thinking for themselves" just consists of calling things BS and proclaiming "common sense" as their basis for an opinion. Translation - you are totally making shit up and asserting it as fact.
Stolarz was inside the crease.
"He didn't mean it so it doesn't count."I don't get smacked in the head, but there's contact, in the corners, in front of the net, etc. It happens. Sticks flying, etc.
Bennett's contact was situational, and yes, that happens all the time in hockey.
There were literally people referring to the fact that he kept playing after the intermission as evidence that the shot didn't hurt him.

Mass General Brigham and Concussion Legacy Foundation Scientists Identify New Concussion Sign
A new concussion sign identified by Mass General Brigham and Concussion Legacy Foundation scientists could identify up to 33% of undiagnosed concussions.www.massgeneralbrigham.org
"For the study, 347 current and former athletes between the ages of 18 and 29 were surveyed. They were shown video examples of SHAAKEs and asked about their experiences with them. 69% reported exhibiting a SHAAKE, and 93% of those reported a SHAAKE in association with concussion at least once. Athletes reported exhibiting SHAAKEs a median of five times in their lives."
"The three most common reasons athletes reported for exhibiting a SHAAKE were “disorientation or confusion” (25%), “a feeling like you needed to jumpstart your brain” (23%), and “changes to your perception of space or perception of your body in space” (14%). Other reasons athletes reported for exhibiting a SHAAKE associated with a concussion included headache, dizziness, inability to keep their train of thought, and changes to vision, hearing, or balance. Reasons athletes exhibited a SHAAKE that are not associated with concussion include neck pain, chills, pain that was not a headache, and an emotional reaction to the preceding event."
The data is far from perfect, but the data they have certainly suggests a very high correlation between SHAAKE and concussion.
It can't both be a "nothing play from Bennett" and also "all minor blows to the back of the head are a big deal".
Nothing play from Bennett but still this comment is just not true

Plenty of incidental contact is let go. Binnington took a knee to the head. No suspension or penalty. It happens in a game as fast as hockey."He didn't mean it so it doesn't count."
Blows to the back of the head can be dangerous without Bennett needing a suspensionIt can't both be a "nothing play from Bennett" and also "all minor blows to the back of the head are a big deal".
