I don't think it's complicated to understand and yet...

I'm talking about the future based since the 2019 draft until the 2024 draft. Belarus is clearly above Switzerland. 6 straight draft classes where Belarus has the upper hand. And the potential star player in the lot leans very clearly towards the Belarusian side.

So the Swiss players of today like Josi, Fiala, Niederreiter, Hischier will no longer be there and do not exist in my perspective. The problem is that Swiss players selected in the 3rd round have become extremely rare.
I was responding to the comment of Belarus passing the Swiss by 2030 originally so Nico is still going to be around but it will be interesting to watch.

In my assessment, this gives (in parentheses, 2023 rating) :

1. Canada 2233 (2227)
2. USA 2225 (2216)
3. Sweden 2174 (2170)
4. Russia 2159 (2164)
5. Finland 2110 (2109)
6. Czechia 2018 (2064)
7. Switzerland 1937 (1947)
8. Germany 1875 (1862)
9. Slovakia 1869 (1870)
10. Belarus 1738 (1700)

Very big progress this year with Protas and depth. As already mentioned, I removed all those naturalized and considered as Belarusian those born in Belarus like Matushkin but that doesn't change much.
Next to that, USA is still getting closer to Canada, Sweden is still ahead of Russia, Czechia is experiencing a big drop with retirements like Voracek, Slovakia is stagnating with the withdrawal of the last players of the old generation (Halak) and remains 9th.

Most people agree that Russia, Czechia and Finland is ahead of Sweden. Whats your argument that Sweden is nr 3?

Becuse many swedish fans here. I can give you 1 exemple of a serious debater in this very thread who im pretty sure has Russia, Czechia, Germany, Swiss and Finland over Sweden. @WarriorofTime
In that's the case then there would be 2 guys, not most.

Heck even if you excluded Swedish fans most people simply wouldn't take Finland their back end just isn't that good.
