Prospect Info: Beckett Sennecke

I wonder if they will hold him out of the prospect tournament then. That would be a bummer, but understandable.

We already know he's on a longer track for the Ducks so no need to rush him at a rookie exhibition. I'd hate to ruin the future potential just to have him show off at an exhibition tourney and get hurt while doing it.

Buddies forever...

Profile stats just updated on both:
Sennecke: Age 18, 6'2'', 181 lbs
Solberg: Age 18, 6'2'', 205 lbs

That photo of Sennecke looking like a pile of skin and bone didn't tell the truth, he's bigger than I thought. Just needs to add some muscle over the next couple of years, he'll be fine.

Those heights and that picture do not track…

True enough, Sennecke does look a little taller. But Solberg is leaning a bit there, they may have different footwear etc. I've no reason not to trust the official stats.

The combine stats are the only measurements that you can put any weight behind because they are all measured by the same standards by the same people.
Sennecke was injured back then, so he didn't take part in the combine tests. Maybe you have another list?

Sennecke was drafted at 5-foot-10 in his OHL draft year as a 16-year-old. At the NHL Draft Combine earlier in the month in Buffalo, he was measured in at 6-foot-2.75”. And yet his skating has not taken a step backward, which is often the case when a player goes through a growth spurt.

Always injured, a foot fracture this time, out 6-8 weeks. How is it possible, is the kid made of glass?

That's what happens with growth spurts. Your body can't keep with the muscle to bone variations. He's still growing into his body. Same thing happened with Carlson.

Would be our luck that we avoided Cayden because of long term injury risk but Sennecke ended up the injury prone player…

I think you got a point there. He's grown 4 inches in the last couple of years, that's a lot. His bone mass has been stretched but not gained enough strength yet. Hopefully he drinks plenty of milk, your body needs calcium to build and maintain strong bones.

Just tape his mouth to an udder, and don't let him off until he's gained 20 pounds of bone density.

We need drastic measures. It's time to go full human centipede if we have to.
