Thank you Patriots!

The Bears defense looks like it has something seriously good brewing. Montez Sweat is that missing piece that has made things click. The secondary is greatly benefiting from QB's not having all day to throw. It's a serious ripple effect.

I think Poles and Warren are going to have a very hard decision. Do you fire the architect of this defense - which looks like it's on the verge of being one of the top units in the NFL? But you have to fix this offense, which I'm not sure how you do while keeping Flus here.

For next week. Atlanta seriously needs a QB. Now is the time for Fields to dazzle...so maybe they'll trade us their first rounder in the teens (currently #11 pick) for their hometown kid? hehe

Do you ever get tired of this? Like I know people always double down on doomsday predictions even when wrong. But i gotta wonder if it ever leads to some burnout
In his defense, the Panthers are playing decent ball now and have for the last month. They could be on a 4 game winning streak if a few things fell different ways. We've been lucky - which is what you need to finish with that top pick I guess.

BTW Panthers fans are giddy over how well Bryce Young played yesterday. Said he finally looked like a #1 overall pick. Good for them. They paid a lot for him and I hope they get their money's worth eventually. But not before they lose at least 1 of these last 2 games of course

And is that 2 weeks in a row that QB's have had a career performance against the Packers? First Baker Mayfield and now Bryce Young? The Packers defense looked awesome early in the year. What the hell happened to it?

They are putting a lot of blame on their defensive coordinator.

It's not a statement based on ability though. Its based on a sad pessimism. Hey it's Christmas, lighten the mood.

But I don't think it's possible Carolina at 4 wins passes Washinton. Sos they currently have the drop, but the Commanders play the cowboys and 49ers. If the Jags/Bucs win their other games but lose to Carolina. They're 9 win teams? Carolina can at best hit 3 now. And the Pat's play the Jets who could be a win.

Pretty sure the SOS on tankathon includes the future opponents as well. So Washington's 2 future opponents only really tells us they are likely to finish 4-13, and if by some chance they were tied with Carolina - then its a flip of the coin for who would win the SOS battle, since it's a near deadheat at this point. Of course Carolina winning both games does slightly lower their SOS, so that would help.

I agree the Pats likely win against the Jets.

To me the more likely loss for Carolina is the Bucs game. The Jags are a hot mess right now and could lose to anyone. Even with the Bucs probably having the division wrapped up, I dont think they're going to want to kill their momentum heading in to the playoffs.

BTW - Caleb Williams liked a tweet last night by a Bears fan suggesting they pass on Caleb and draft MHJ. Things that make you go hmmm.

Anybody watch the KC mess? Gave up two TDs in two snaps. Good grief it was laughable.......I do expect KC to come back tho'.

Matt Nagy or Reid allows Nagy to design and call a play where the RB direct snaps to wildcat option to the QB? ... he takes what works with a fake pitch to a whole dumber level

I think Raiders are better more realistic target. Falcons probably just try to trade into top 10 and grab Daniels IMO rather than give up #11 for Fields

They are not going to be in position to draft Williams, Maye or Daniels and I am not sure they are high on the 2nd tier QB's (McCarthy, Penix, Nix, etc)

They could be good target for a possible Fields trade since they basically just need average QB to be playoff team at this point
