I watched some of the USC game on Saturday and Caleb Williams is going to look very good as the Bears starting QB next season.

There are 5 winless teams and the Bears hold the 1st round picks for two of them. Tank for Caleb and a reset button on the coaching staff.

Bears coaching staff and/or Soldier Field turf will destroy him.

I'm convinced that if we had landed Luck that things would've worked our worse for him than it did in reality with the Colts, the team that almost murdered him and the fanbase that booed him away from the city forever.

I have no faith in ownership finding that GM who can turn things around. It is what it is.
It doesn't help that The McCaskeys handcuff their GMs coaching choices. From day one I suspected that Poles couldn't conduct a thorough HC search because his bosses limited the choices to Eberflus, Jim Caldwell, and Dan Quinn. From what I've learned George has done this to at least three GMs?

9ers Asst GM + Ben Johnson or Harbaugh and whatever analytics guy he wants as GM, then Caleb and MHJ

Id rather OL than MHJ. I’m of the opinion that if you can block and have time, you can field decent RB and WR with a great QB and be successful.

Given time all nfl players can get open

The Bears schedule is really soft this year. The next 4 games are all against weak or mediocre teams.

Game 4: Broncos - 0-3 and had 70 put up on them today
Game 5: Washington is 2-1, but they lost 37-3 today
Game 6: Vikings, also 0-3 like the Bears and Broncos
Game 7: Raiders 1-1 - probably going to be 1-2 shortly. Looked bad most of tonight, but are coming back in 4th

That result was expected but the non-competitiveness of the Bears was not. I wonder if Flus has lost the lockerroom?

Eberflus has to know that he is likely done at the end of the season. Firing him now does nothing for the team and if you want to tank, you have to keep Flus. My question: Is Ryan Poles on the hot seat now? This is his garbage and he should reap what he sow.

If the Bears end up 2 of the top 5 picks, you have to clean house. No Poles or Flus. New regime should make those picks.

And should you take one of the QBs (Williams or Maye) they must SIT for at least half the season). I know it's hard to sit a top pick for at least most of the season but it has to be done. It's doubtful that any QB in next year's draft will be ready to start on D1.

The Bears are likely to have two top 5 picks. Of course the Bears need OL/DL but apt neither position has a player worth going top 5. I rather keep both picks and grab two blue chip prospects over trading down and getting not blue chip prospects. While I do hate the idea of the BEARS drafting a QB in the first rd, they are going to do that. So the combo, if you can do it should be Williams and Harrison.
