Don't look now, fields on pace for 3900 yards, 37 tds, 17 ints, leading nfl in td percentage last I checked too.

First few games could be due to only having 1 returning rb/wr/te and 3 returning OL.

Tape analysis by reputable sources showing he beat good defensive plays many times over the last few weeks (holds true regardless of the team defensive rankings)

Also chase Daniel saying he processes very quick , has elite potential for processing the field.

Even when you look back when he was holding it hilariously long during games 1-3 (bucs game was the worst), he is processing the field but didn't pull the trigger.

He went off against two horrible defenses

Less see him do this vs quality opponents.

Also he still is not seeing wide open WR's

If he plays at level rest of year then great, but your efforts to explain away his shit play in first 3 weeks is a bit amusing since your taking shorter sample size as "This is the real Fields"

Either way we will know by end of year if Fields is man going forward or draft QB again starting all over

This is why I am hesitant to give up on Justin Fields too early. Regardless of the opponent, Fields has shown he has the talent.

the 180 on him proves the Ken Dryden quote you’re only as good as your last game. I don’t think we should let him go just yet, but what could we get for him if he lead the league as others are extrapolating here? A couple high firsts?

If he led the league, why the hell would we worry about what we can get for him?

As a fisherman, it reminds me of something we often say, which is believed to be something Moses said. "Never leave fish to find fish."

If we have a great QB, what purpose would it serve to get rid of a great QB, for a question mark?

A mystery box could be anything!

This isn't college football. All NFL defenses have talent. In fact, Fields' has the worst defense in the League ... which puts far more pressure to do more in limited possessions. Furthermore, try getting in a rhythm after 10-12 plays on the bench due to the Bears defense.

It's one thing to say I need to see more from Fields before I'm sold. However, your analysis is lazy ... not much different than your hockey analysis.

Rest of schedule results:
Vikings W
Raiders W
@ Chargers L
@ Saints W
Panthers W
@ Lions L
@ Vikings W
Lions L
@ Browns L
Cardinals W
Falcons W
@ Packers W

Final record 9-8. They might be able to make a playoff run as this schedule is incredibly easy.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Our defense still has a long way to go. I just want Fields to keep developing ... as well as Jenkins stay healthy, Wright keep mauling, Jones comes back from injury, our 3 young CBs (Gordon, Smith, Stevenson) to ball out, and Dexter and Pickens to develop at DT. Perhaps if we get really lucky, WR2 will show (Mooney or Scott). IMO, Mooney is on the brink of a breakout game. He's getting open. Justin has to find him when teams inevitably double DJ.

Poles is hitting all the most valuable positions in football except edge rusher. There is no doubt EDGE and WR2 will be our priorities next year IF Fields is the answer. Let's hope he executes.

The defense has no chance unless they get a couple wins in a row here high scoring again and Poles decides to trade for multiple pass rushers that don't turn out like Claypool

And so what?

The two defenses we just played are among the worst in NFL. Again need to see far more then 2 good games

We will know at end of year if Fields is answer or not

Bears loss to Denver is not looking as bad. They carved up Denver's D, something the Chiefs couldn't do.

Thursday night games are always an outlier. Not enough time for teams to prepare. The Bears once beat Tom Brady in a Thursday night game when he forgot how many downs there were in the 4th quarter. All they did was go on to win the Super Bowl months later.

The Chiefs had some weird stuff happen in the Red Zone last night. Had like three trips that resulted in 3 points.

Can't believe the Bears are underdogs at home against this terrible Vikings team without Jefferson. Especially coming off that dominating performance last week.

You mean that same Vikings team that only lost by 1 TD to the Chiefs (without Jefferson for a bit of it) and that same Chiefs team who blew out the Bears? You are putting way too much into a win against Washington on a Thursday night game when both teams only had 3 days to prepare. Thursday night games are always wacky.

Not saying the Bears are gonna lose today but I'm not surprised at all they're underdogs. People also thought the Bears would blow out an Aaron Rodgers less Green Bay team in the opener and beat the shitty ass Denver Broncos... whoops.
