Lucky Everlose already has the injury excuses lined up for his staff to go 0-2 in the next two:

"Matt Eberflus said that the age of the defensive backfield Sunday will among the youngest he’s ever coached. The Bears kick off against the Broncos on Sunday at noon at Soldier Field."

I don’t buy that ruin every QB stuff. Bengals have won less games than the Bears in the last 10 years. They didn’t ruin Burrow.
Esiason, Ken Anderson, Palmer, Dalton, and Burrow are better quarterbacks than any the Bears have had since Luckman. Bears ruined McNown, Trubisky, are in the process of ruining Fields, and have developed no one.

Great post! I was going to make an inferior version of it.

With little to no pass rush and a secondary that looks like this, it could get ugly on Sunday. The slot is Stroman. J Blackwell who is K Gordon's backup, was placed on IR.

It would honestly be a huge day for the franchise if we lost and the panthers lost. Would put us in the drivers seat for Caleb Williams and potentially the best non-QB in the draft as well (Marvin Harrison Jr?). Hate to already be on the tank train but we really need the Ls this week

Judging by what the media has been saying out there as far as Caleb's camp, I wouldn't be shocked if he stayed another year in school if the Bears get the #1 pick again.

I don’t like having the tank mindset in September, but it’s October 1st so I’m all in.

The problem is, both lines are trash and if they don't help the lines with either of those picks...yikes.

Oh, and....

Harrison Jr. would be great, but I have to think they're eyeing Fashanu or Alt as well. With Wright looking good so far, having a rookie QB come in with a strong LT, RT pair could outweigh MHJ's potential.

And Fashanu is for some reason getting a bit overlooked so far. He would have been the first OT off the board if he had entered the draft last season.

Unfortunately, I don't think even with 2 top picks, the Bears will get a reinforcement on the DL early in the draft next year either. Maybe in the second round, but I would personally prefer an interior lineman there.

Three Broncos in the backfield within a second of snapping the football. Is Getsy just that bad at disguising his play calls, or the line just that bad?
