Yea it's likely the Vikings division to lose but I'd happily argue the Lions are the most talented team in this division. I like them more as a team, but just like the Maple Leafs in the NHL, it is more of "Lions are gonna Lions" when the going gets tough. But man, their defense, their o-line, etc. is very good. And Jared Goff is a solid QB. Not great but not bad. I'd trust him over Kirk Cousins to manage a game for example.

The Bears are at least a year away but they are very much on the come up. Unless Justin Fields plays out of his mind this year (possible, but I still don't think the o-line is good enough to protect him just yet).

I'm trying to tell you... don't sleep on the Lions.

The Lions might win the division, but that’s because the division is not good. They have a long ways to go to be legit contenders. But just being a good team is progress for them, obviously. Just interested to see the long term play for them.

I don't think they're far off. They have multiple talented high round picks on both sides of the ball from years of sucking. I put their o-line up against anyone's in the NFL. Their defense will likely finish top 10, arguably top 5 after this season.

Their main question will be one.. can they get over that mental hump of choking? And the other is Jared Goff. Can you trust him to take over a game and not just manage it? If Stafford was 5-10 years younger and still around for them, we wouldn't be having this conversation but alas, he's not. I just don't know if Goff can take them far (and even if he does, I doubt they'll win it all with him).

This is just one game obviously and Kelce being out hurt the Chiefs (not to mention Kadarius "butterfingers" Toney with one of the worst performances you'll ever see from a WR) but going on the road and beating the defending champs is no easy feat. And if you know football, you can clearly see the talent on this team and they play hard for Campbell. You can tell they all love to go to war with him. Again I still see the Vikings winning it though, but I would not be surprised if the Lions pull it off either (if they don't do their annual choking). Definitely the most talented team in this division.

Agreed. I also remember you being one of the ones who mentioned the Lions as well to be up there.

My hunch is that they’ll make a run for it and then drag down the stretch but still finish second in the division above a Bears that still have a long climb to relevancy and hopefully a flatlining Packers unless they still have more devil magic.

Let's hope Jordan Love sucks. Please.. the Bears are LONG overdue for not only for a QB being elite, but a QB from Green Bay sucking.
49ers had Montana/Young and has been seeking a heir apparent for nearly 30 years. This is the road I hope to see GB take. Which would mean they would get their next great QB in 2050 or so. Which is totally fine with me.

Should be enough to make Saints the favorite to win division and return to playoffs

The Saints sure like to buy on credit. At some point, they are going to have $100mn+ in dead cap money.

I have a feeling he'll be an average QB by the end of the year. I don't see him being elite.

I'm rooting for the Bears but I think an upset is possible.

The one thing I'll never get used to living in ET is no noon football!
