His major weakness is against strength/bull rushers, and he has an offseason to get stronger. Not saying he's the long-term answer but his weakness is possibly correctable.
He just gets beat consistently. He might be a decent run blocker but he gets torched in pass pro. Doesn't matter if it's a bull rush or speed rush, he just can't block passing plays.

Are we still sure Fields is the guy?

Obviously he's shown plenty and has guaranteed another season but how much is him and how much is the receivers?

I think Fields has plenty of promise but I need to see more from him as a passer.

Yeah he had that 60 yard run and a couple other decent runs but I don't think Fields has looked like he's feeling well all game long. He's been grimacing and looks either fatigued or in pain pretty much from the get-go. And then it doesn't help that his o-line can't pass block and he gets rocked several times.

Bears receivers can't get open and the one or two times they have the pass has been off.

One more thing - the play that turned the game from possibly hanging with the Bills last week to the losing effort was the pass Kmet dropped in the 1st quarter that would have given the Bears a 1st down to extend what had been a very good start to the game. After that they ended up punting and never threatened to keep it close again. Well guess what - the same thing just happened this game - Kmet got both hand on the ball for a 1st down and couldn't secure the catch when he went to the ground and the Bears ended up punting and have been steam rolled every since. Kmet has had some good plays - but those are two losing plays that are on him.

You do you. He’s a second year Qb without much in terms of o-line and Wr talent around him. He does need to get better getting the ball out quicker at times. All growing pains for every young quarterback that comes into the league.

OT - but this is something disrespectful shit lol.

That’s bad by him.

Bad tackling is just no excuse

It's not ridiculous. He needs to show more as a passer.

Yes, I understand his receivers suck but they're not going to get better anytime soon.
He does still need to improve as a passer, sure. But to look at him and look at his O-like and receivers and think he’s the problem/not doing enough is just blatant working back from your conclusion.

Every young player needs to show more. Growth isn’t linear. He needs to get better at touch throws underneath and the ball coming out quicker (that’s also coaching).
Understood.

He holds onto the ball way too long. Idk how much is coaching and how much is his receivers not getting open.

There was bound to be a bad game like he's having. He's a young player, like someone said, it's not linear. There will be a handful of good to great games in a row, followed by a bad to ok'ish game, like we're seeing.
