1. Losing franchise, no pressure
2. Megatron
3. No RBs, have to throw to move the ball at all
4. Jim Caldwell was a decent coach
5. Crappy defenses, have to throw a lot because they're behind.

The Lions were a good place during Stafford's career to put up meaningless passing stats.

Also, Stafford turns the ball over too much.
Ryan 2.1 int% stafford 2.4% rivers 2.6%
Ryan 89 fumbles stafford 74 fumbles rivers 111fumbles.

What are you talking about man? Its like you just say random things to justify your wild opinions.

He turns the ball over too much. He's really talented, but the TOs are killer.
He's not Aaron Rodgers. He actually wins in January. Doh...too soon?

Stafford is a good QB. Comparing him to Cutler was off. Cutler never slung 41 TD's in a year. He never even made it to 30.

He does have a gunslinging mentality that sometimes drags his team down. I would say Brett Favre is a better comp, but obviously that would be as a Favre-lite.

Stafford never won a playoff game until this year.

I think every QB should limit TOs like Rodgers does.

Iirc, there are 2 qbs in the history of football whove thrown 40tds with single digit ints. Rodgers and brady and only rodgers has done it more than once.

For a 2nd year, sure, if that's tying his career best his development failed
You know how many qbs have multiple 40td seasons in nfl history? Pretty sure its 6 right now. Stafford(2), rodgers(3), brees(2), brady(3), peyton(2), and marino(2). Itll probably get more common since the nfl is more passing focused and they added a game, but its still a lot of tds...

Yeah it still is a lot thinking of it. I just hope a new coach and get him to be great all around not just make Fields a gunslinger which he could be with his good deep passing

Buffalo still in it, Daboll with a old school, my goto in like ncaa05/madden06 era two outside go routes and post by guy in the slot play.

That could work for Fields.

You have the best qb in football and you wildcat read option with a TE on 3rd and 1? Did they rehire nagy before the game and i missed it?

Nobody limits turnovers as well as Rodgers did. That’s an unreasonable expectation.

A QB can still be great even if they’re not the literal best at something.

But hey, Stafford showed up when he had to (twice so far) whereas Rodgers didn’t.
