I never thought Cutler was anywhere near the issue he was painted by some but this is absolutely adorable.

Since like the 60's two Bears quarterbacks have made the Pro Bowl. McMahon in the 80's and Mitch Trubisky. Murray has gone like two of the last three years.

Kyle Murray was pretty mediocre in the 2nd half of the season, including the playoff game against the Rams. Maybe the Cardinals had to give him that deal and are holding their breath that his last half season isn't the beginning of a trend.

Cutler was the best QB the Bears ever had. He was also very average. These two things are not mutually exclusive.

Also, the best thing that could happen to the Bears this year is for Fields to show significant progress and the team to be terrible. Having a top 5 pick next year AND not needing a QB would be a wonderful thing for the franchise. They could get a haul.

My concern is I think this offensive line is going to be so bad he’ll never have a chance to show if he’s got it or not.
