Kinda surprised nothing more has come out about watson yet. Pretty hard to plan for a season with his status still in question.

I hope things go well for Lovie in Houston

Felt he got raw deal in TB

2-14 in 1st year
6-10 in 2nd year (Were 6-6 and in playoff race before end of season struggles)

Then fired

Brian Flores sure is doing everything he can to make sure nobody ever hires him again.

Brian Flores: Lawyers claim lawsuit prevented Texans hiring - Sports Illustrated

“Mr. Flores is happy to hear that the Texans have hired a Black head coach, Lovie Smith, as Mr. Flores’ goal in bringing his case is to provide real opportunities for Black and minority candidates to be considered for coaching and executive positions within the NFL,” the statement said. “However, we would be remiss not to mention that Mr. Flores was one of three finalists for the Texans’ head coach position and, after a great interview and mutual interest, it is obvious that the only reason Mr. Flores was not selected was his decision to stand up against racial inequality across the NFL.”

I don't think he got a raw deal, he got exactly what he deserved. Going 8-24 in two years regardless of the roster, should and will get you fired. One could argue, he should not have accepted the Bucs offer to begin with. But let's face it....coaches are hired to be fired.

Lovie is a better coach

f***ed up for Flores to shade him and claim only reason he got hired is because Flores filed lawsuit

Good for Lovie but Houston seems like a toxic situation.

Lovie is 63

This is probably his last shot at a HC gig

It's understandable he takes it and if he does well Texans around he will get praise (And pay raise down line) for it

If he can't its already a disaster so people won't hold it against him that he couldn't turn it around especially with ongoing Watson situation

Its really no risk for Lovie to take his shot here

flores failed to develop a qb. Had a losing record. Started 1-7. 4 oc and 2 dc in 3 years. Couldn’t get along with management.

he forgets that he got a HC gig at 38 after not having been a coordinator

I’d all the rumors are true, dude is an asshole and can’t get along with management or players. Can’t imagine why teams aren’t rushing to hire him.

NFL announced that they will be having four games in Germany (Munich and Frankfort) between 2022 and 2025. Note that in December they released their international markets map showing four teams having rights to Germany, so a safe bet that those four teams will be involved for the four games.

Probably only a matter of time before the Bears have a game in Spain then, too.

I mean, no reason at all to cite his 1-7 start since that was the season ownership wanted to tank for Tua and they had a truly horrible roster. They were expected to win almost 0 games that year and he far exceed expectations.

I don't disagree, just commenting on the toxic environment.

He’s in line behind Torrey Holt and Reggie Wayne at receiver. Five total players voted in each year. He’s got a few years.
