This is a big loss. Not only did the Raiders hire him away from us but they made him assistant GM not the actual GM so Bears can't get draft picks because of it (if Kelly was named the GM, Bears would've gotten 2 3rd round picks). It sucks.

Was he actually a positive influence though? From his wiki

His main responsibilities are grading the top 100 draft prospects, leading the team's efforts in free agency, and advance scouting

Their draft picks in top 2 rounds were awful and nothing much from FA either. You can't just GM bad, underling good on choices unless there's clear cases of things he did good.

Isn't that guy hired from the Eagles/was a raven scout taking that kinda role anyway?

He was the guy who identified Justin Fields, Tarik Cohen, Eddie Jackson, Darnell Mooney, Roquan Smith (although Roquan was concensus with everybody supposedly). Time will tell on Fields but that's not a bad list, especially with the rounds a few of those guys were drafted in.

Sam Summerville is another guy who might leave or stay who has a good list himself.

Lol what a Matt Nagy hire.

I'm sure Vikings fans never wanted Harbaugh like they didn't want Poles or Fields

One thing I never knew that os stunning to me is that Nagy had zero staff from KC come with him to the Bears. That seems extremely rare and yet telling of a guy maybe they all knew would be the guy who refused to delegate control

Isn't Reid pretty well known for this? Like, he hypes his guys up for jobs and then doesn't allow them to take any staff with him.

Poles isn't bringing any KC guys AFAIK.

Who are you to tell someone on a message board they should not voice their opinion on a team? The ignore feature is extremely effective if you need it.

My original response was a joke, sorry if it was not obvious. Now it seems that I struck a nerve even though that was never my intention.
