He made a very very serious accusation. In a time when the NFL is 100% about being woke

He’s going to make them play their butts off, and as I previously said I don’t think it’s a bad landing spot to be in with the Packers likely losing Rodgers, the Bears still being held back by the McCaskeys, and the Lions still being the Lions.

Maybe but the vikings have cousins at QB, blah, and no successions plans for QB after cousins. Throw in the fact that harbaugh can't developed QBs and most likely burn out in 4 yrs, pardon me if I am not concerned about the vikings long term.

Really disappointing to see Harbaugh in the division.

Yep and I never read a single report that the Bears actually talked to him. This whole thing is typical budget Bears management, you have a new GM and Coach to hold you over until the new stadium is built. They have no vested interest in Fields success and it's an easy out if he doesn't perform well. Pace should have never been allowed to draft last year, Pace and Nagy should have been gone a year ago. This is identical to what they did with Mitch.

If it doesn't work out after 3-4 years, fire him. It's just money, and doesn't count against the salary cap. The Bears are billing a multi-billion dollar stadium, don't tell me they can't afford the risk of paying him out.

What about the downside risk of hiring a guy with no HC experience whose defense got torn apart by the JAGUARS in a must win game?

Harbaugh was the best guy on the market and it looks like he's going to a division rival, not good.

He's interviewing with the Vikings today and lots of reports say he'll take the job today.

Yep, I'm fully prepared for an average 4 to 5 years from the Bears and then another reset. We could get lucky though with some good draft picks and karma.

There is something to be said for faking it til you make it. Maintaining the perception of inclusiveness and progressiveness will eventually, inevitably, lead to actions and policies that lean that way. Its difficult if not impossible to maintain the facade otherwise.

This is a big loss. Not only did the Raiders hire him away from us but they made him assistant GM not the actual GM so Bears can't get draft picks because of it (if Kelly was named the GM, Bears would've gotten 2 3rd round picks). It sucks.
