McCarthy certainly isn't the worst choice they can make. But he's had stacked rosters nearly his entire coaching career that has certainly inflated his coaching record.

Stop being cheap and hire Ben Johnson.

The experienced sb winning coach would be more expensive

Bleacher Report said McCarthy averaged $8m per year and "at least 10 other coaches were making $9m or more."

That said, I don't have a clue what the top coaching candidate is going to get especially when he has a small bidding war.

Quite honestly, I'm not sure it even matters.

  • One site 'frontofficesports' has listed a few new head coach salaries and, to no surprise, there was a huge difference. According to the site Jim Harbaugh (SD) made $16 mil/yr while, D Quinn (Was) made $4.5mil and R Morris (Atl) $4.0 mil. Reid tops the 2024 salary list at $20 mil while D Campbell and S McDermott are at $11 mil. You'd think McCarthy would expect $12+ mil and B Johnson just under that. note - I did not look for salaries listed anywhere else
