I made the 'bold predicition' yesterday morning that Flus would be coaching his last game as the Bears HC yesterday. I had no idea it would go the way it went. No one did.

Think about it - outside of maybe the Demar Hamlin on field thing, what happened in that game might be the newsworthy thing that has happened in the NFL in the last 10 years. Seriously, it was beyond comprehension and something that could have never been predicted.

I can’t decide what would be more surprising- firing him or not. I didn’t think it would happen, but felt it had to happen. Think I’m more surprised he was fired…

4 winnable games, 0-4….had to go. Hoping we can get a top 7 pick and two others in the top 40. Should be a stud linemen on either side of the ball in the first. Don’t care the position, just get the guy most likely to be a pro-bowl lineman.

It blows my mind when people feel sorry for someone getting fired who clearly deserves it. The guy has been paid extremely well, and likely never deserved that head coaching money to begin with. He will be fine. He still gets paid.

He's a terrible f***ing coach. Good riddance.
This post is like Pat Foley ripping into Karpotsev, love it, especially with the 'good riddance', so true.

Everything this org does is wrong. They send Flus out to do his Zoom presser and they fire him an hour later? Just lame

Side note. Watching a podcast now and Briggs is savaging the LB. He said they’ve been terrible most of the season.

Guy is still going to get paid millions for a while. He can do a lousy press conference while they show him the door. He made his bed.
100%. I think he still gets paid for the rest of this year and 2 more seasons. Boo hoo. If my job wants to can me and pay me for 2 1/2 years, they can do me wrong on the way out the door too.

Well thank god that's over. So many late 4th Qs where it looked like nobody knew what the f*** was going on or what their job was. So many 1st halves that they looked totally unprepared and overwhelmed.

Guess we'll see how Brown does, don't have high hopes. Maybe poach Saleh from GB? Thought he got a raw deal with the Jets.

I really wonder if he would have kept his job if he would have just went into the presser and said that he screwed up and owned it.

Think about how bad it had to get for them to fire a coach in season. The players legit might have revolted it was so bad.

from their play and some of their comments after the game I sort of thought they already had.

Watch Thomas Brown become the next HC, at which point the voices involved in the draft will be two former OL and one former RB, and them still skimp out on the OL investment.
