I'm unsure how to feel about the Brisker situation. Clearly he has felt ready to go for a while, and was pissed when he was put on IR...

But he's on his nth concussion, and feels like a guy who is going to prioritize being on the field over his health every day of the week.

yeah...this is a case where the Bears did the right thing IMO. You can never be too cautious with someone who has many concussions.

If the Bears really bottom out and win no more games, they're almost certainly picking top 5. Do you go BPA in the trenches, which likely means Abdul Carter or Mason Graham on the DL, or do you go for an OL even though they probably aren't on the level of those two?

Yeah I'm the same. I don't see anything wrong with it either. It's not like he was fired wrongly. He's lucky he wasn't fired weeks ago. He's got a massive severance that 99% of people holding "regular" jobs don't get when they get let go. The hand wringing is pretty stupid at this point.

This clown does his job properly the Bears are probably a playoff team. He needed to go.

You don’t send a guy out to do a presser and then fire him an hour later.

The Bears org just does everything the wrong way.

Meet and discuss before the press conference

But I’ll make it easy, can we find any other example of a team that had their coach do a media presser an hour before firing him?

And we are 3 days removed and the owner, Pres and GM have not faced the press.

Yes Flus needed to go and yes, the Bears org is bush league. Both things are true

Trey Smith in fee agency.

Defensive line with top 10 pick.

Bears second rounder more offensive line help.

Carolina second rounder BPA between offensive/defensive line and safety.

Would be nice to draft a center at some point, but no clue if there is a realistic option for one in second round.

Both lines are in bad enough shape that you gotta go BPA. Having a surefire stud tackle to protect Caleb would be awesome but from what I've read that guy may just not be in this draft. Jones and Wright are playing ok when healthy and you have free agency and two high 2nd rounders to target the interior OL (assuming there are guys in that range, I haven't paid nearly enough attention this year to know).

Unless Starks falls to the 2nd round somehow, I'm not touching a safety in the 2nd round. Too many of them go on day 3 and become good players.

If Carter or Graham is available, I think I lean DL with a top 10 pick too. Otherwise I think I lean OL with the first pick.

OL is a bit weird, since it's the position group that changes the most when actual scouts start leaking things to people like Brugler and Jeremiah. But I agree that it sounds like the draft lacks a top end stud OT. As of right now, it sounds like the interior O-line should have some options in the 2nd round.

I don’t know enough about Warren to know if I should be happy or not about that decision.

But yeah, I agree with you guys, just fire Poles if this is how you’re going to handle it all. That alone makes me nervous of who Warren may or may not choose.

So for now I’m leaning to not being confident, but it’s not exactly a strong stance.

I'll be the dope who's fine with Poles staying.

The talent has gone through the roof in a few short years. It's obviously not a finished product yet. But they played 3 of the better teams in the NFL to the wire the last 3 weeks. We're on the right track. They just need a better head coach and to fill some of the few remaining holes. 3 picks in the first 40-45 selections will be huge.

Does it sucks Flus failed. Yeah....but it's not enough for me to want to throw this all away. I think most of the rest is on the right track here.

I just can’t get over how defensive Poles was towards Flush being his guy.

I won’t lose sleep if he gets another year, but I’m probably 60/40 in favor of him being fired if it were my decision.

Well that's what happened so it's stupid to keep debating it. It's not like there's nationwide outrage or horror over the Bears *gasp* sending him out to do a press conference - oh the hand wringing!

And even if there was who gives a f*ck. The guy was terrible and is lucky he lasted as long as he did.

Really nasty stuff. Lawrence had to he carted off. Fans throwing stuff on the field and at the Texans players. Just hope Lawrence is ok.

I have watched an odd amount of Cardinals games this year…. And I’m just not seeing it with MHJ so far.

That was a really late slide with a defender coming hard in on him. But yeah, he just cant let himself hit the QB like that.

Awful. Just launches at his head. That's one way for the Texans to get off their slide, I guess. Just injure the opposing QB.

Was Cousins as bad as his stat line suggests today? 4 INT including a pick six in a four point loss is brutal
