Poles and Flus have hired 5 coordinators in 14 months, apparently? When do the Bears brass admit these guys might suck at their jobs, what is their record at this point? Has to be well below 500

Flus/Poles are 14-29 for a .326 win %.

0-4 against Green Bay. Unsure what his full division record is and too lazy to put together, but I’m sure it’s awful.

This is really on Poles...he should've cleared the deck after getting 1.01 and got an offensive minded HC in there to grow with their pick, he stuck with Flus for whatever reason and its just continued dysfunction...Needs to lose his job over the decision among many other bad decisions

Therein lies the rub: As much as I have jumped on Poles' case early and often, the recently circulating rumored "fact" that Eberflose is signed through 2026 on a 5-yr contract might have something something to do with the extreme aversion to cut him loose after last season, only two years in, wink wink nudge nudge from somewhere higher on the foodchain than the GM. And I generally don't buy into the "cheap" ownership stuff.

I’m going to guess Brown has the most boring game plan imaginable for this week.

Lots of predictable runs straight up the middle and 3 and outs.

They fired Trestman with two remaining. The idea that the McCaskey's won't spend money when told its time, is not true. Dumb as f***? Yep. They care about the Bears, they're just dumb as f*** and trust the wrong people.

Poles chose to keep Flus, thats it.

The gamble worth making would've been pairing up Kliff with Caleb and give it a few years and if it didn't work then make changes but sticking with Flus when the entire league is driven on QB success, yikes

That’s who I wanted as OC more than anyone else given we knew Flus wasn’t being fired.

Poles needs to get his ass in front of the media and fans to address this. No hiding

The reality is that Flus is now on his third OC and the guy the brought in to work with the #1 pick overall and big signings lasted half a season. He needs to address that.

All that good work you've done to rebuild the roster is undone because you had to keep your golfing buddy. Nice work Ryan. That OL is looking really deep too. Best you've ever had!

Not that it matters, because Eberflus is either out at the end of the season, or my Sundays wille be wonderfully open next season.

But how many players on the team are playing their worst football as a pro right now?

On just the offense:

Moore, Allen, Shelton, Davis, Jenkins (since he became a guard, at least), Everett, Lewis, Swift? Anyone else?

Entering this year I was fine with giving Poles more leash as a GM…. At this point I’d be happy to see him packing with the entire staff.

My guess however ever is that all coaches are let go and he gets one more shot at picking a head coach.

Can’t say I’d be too confident in Warren picking the next GM either.

Based on what the media inferred from Kingsbury's words, Waldron was probably the only candidate that didn't make Eberflose feel terrified of potentially taking away his HC gig.
Bingo! That and not many people are going to want to line up to work for a lame duck coach. Job security.
Poles handled this like a 15 year old virgin touching his first titty.

I don’t buy this. If the OC was doing well, it would imply the team was doing well, in which case the head coach wouldn’t lose his job.

Yeah, I think it was more of, if this goes well with Kingsbury, he'd have only been there a year and off to grab a head coaching job again. Which is probably what will happen with Washington.

Good problem to have if it plays out like that.

At this point everything on offense will be starting a step backwards a year later come 2025.

sad part is Poles really did have a 10-12 win team on his hands if he just ponied up the money for Kliff, Harbaugh or Ben Johnson to be HC, fired entire staff, and said come handpick your qb and we got the rest figured out...he seems completely incapable of introspection or admitting fault

Should have….
-hired Kliff
-spent more money on fixing offensive line in off season with Everett/Swift money
-I would have dangled the Panthers 2025 pick in 2024 in hopes to draft Jackson Powers Johnson who went in the second round

Shouldn’t have….
-signed Everett… just no need for this guy at all
-sign Swift… Johnson could have been a suitable option to save the money for the line

I don’t think Kliff was ever a real consideration because Eberflus is too insecure and would never consider a former HC.

Poles has to go

Fresh start for Bears organization

And anyone all "Well new GM would inherit Williams",, There are plenty of football people there were fans of Williams so its not some negative

He was 1st overall for a reason and it wasn't just because Bears loved him. Many NFL scouts/people were and are fans

Find guy who is fan and let him bring in an offensive coach and go from there

No more Poles/Eberflus

I’m going to guess Brown has the most boring game plan imaginable for this week.

Lots of predictable runs straight up the middle and 3 and outs.

Which would sadly be improvement over past two weeks

No guarangee that Kingsbury would have been successful in Chicago, In fact, I would say, us Bears fans would be complaining about him right now.

Now that the Bears have fired one of the guys the players wanted gone, there is no more excuses for the players. With that said, I hope Poles realize that firing Waldron does not mean Bears fans want Flus kept. He has to know we want this goober gone.

There are multiple people reporting that Eberflus's original plan was indeed to keep Waldron as the OC. I guess it's nice to have a fall guy and also not firing the 8th person you hired in the past like 14 months.

And on Poles, there will be talk that he should be allowed to do his own coach search. I think that's bullshit. He hitched his wagon to Flus. It took 7 games for that decision to completely blow up in their faces. He can pack it up and leave with the coach he decided should foster his QB of the future.
