A lot of people were buying into the idea the bears had the greatest situation ever for a #1 pick to come into given all the weapons he has

And hes been ass cheeks for a lot of them
There's people who think Bedard was expected to be as good or better than McDavid.

If you believed that about Williams or Bedard, you have bad evaluation skills or trust really bad media takes.

How much shit did Bears fans talk about Carolina and Bryce Young debacle, that trade etc, to turn around and say no no our QB needs more time, he needs more around him and a better staff, its too small of a sample, and Bryce had way way less to work with and a more dysfunctional franchise, truly comical development but on par for this fanbase

Do you not comprehend that he's been terribly inaccurate and held onto the ball too long even going back to USC, he tries to play hero ball and he has struggled in structure for awhile now, god forbit you take a 1.5 year sample and use it to evaluate Caleb vs Jayden...comparing this guy to Bedard now like he didn't just put up Baker Mayfield type production in college...its a joke tbh
At least the KBS takes aren't just limited to a single poster now. Very kind of you.

If you're gonna make fun of Bears fans for making fun of Panthers fans for that trade, why wouldn't you focus on the fact that half the pieces that the Bears got out of that trade are two malcontents in Moore and Stevenson, and a punter? Don't go for the bottom shelf and compare QBs. Reach for the vintage stuff.

Eh... I don't know about that. There were some anonymous scouts and even media guys like Louis Riddick (who is highly respected in NFL circles) who stuck their neck out for Daniels for weeks leading up to the draft. I won't count Dan Orlovsky in the "respected" category but he was another one.

And I have no dog in this "they chose the wrong QB" fight cuz it's b.s. What I've seen out of Caleb I've never seen any rookie QB who has had a Bears uniform do in this city. Bears are going to Bears him though despite his tremendous talent. They've already started keeping Eberflus.
They can say that all they want. They’re in the media and no one cares what they think in two weeks. When it’s your job and your team and your future on the line, you’re taking the consensus 1.

The DJ Moore and Stevenson are a product of a very poor coaching staff with no discipline or accountability. This team has quit on Eberflus and are now going into business for themselves. Because of that, these coaches should be fired now but they won't because this organization does not hold anybody accountable.

Some of these hot takes about Caleb Williams is going to look bad in three years.

If you showed me this at the start of the year I'd be more than fine with it. The last two games have been tough but not exactly cataclysmic.

People can be in their feelings because you pictured yourself cheering for someone in the Daniels situation and decades of Bears failures were going to go away instantly. But QBs aren't drafted for the first eight games of their career. Caleb has a lot to clean up but it's just pathetic to already be giving up and complaining about the wrong pick being made

I am fine with Williams pick at #1 (I liked Daniels though and talked about possible Daniels/Nabers grab if possible) but just want some here to acknowledge his issues and that he is part of the problem with offense at this point

I don't think it's unreasonable to say his not seeing wide open WR"s or outright missing on throws including to open men is an issue and concerning right now

One thing pointed out to me that I forgot is that Moore was vocal Fields guy

Wouldn't be surprised if that is something here

WR's are fragile diva's who may get upset with BFF gone

He is 100% contributing to the problem. I agree. Talk of "wrong QB" is delusional.

Yeah Mahomes went from dead to his usual self quickly

And Kelce to 1

Yeah KC is winning this game

Hunt TD

Chiefs win

8-0 start despite offense looking like shit most of year, AFC should be terrified that Chiefs are still 8-8 despite looking so bad

Minn traded for oline help and dude came in within a week and gave up zero pressures

Thomas Brown is on this staff. He was an OC in Carolina. He should be given playcalling duties. What’s the worst that can happen?

Good for Herbert to go somewhere that he should play

Was nothing but productive and good soldier here in Chicago even after Swift signing and promotion of Johnson to #2 role

And he failed miserably in every aspect and is back down starting over in NFL food chain

And he is our passing game coordinator so really not doing anything to justify a promotion at this point

They really need to trade Allen.
Yeah, I think the idea of having a zone beater for Williams to learn with was a solid one. I dont think it has worked out at all, and now they're forcing balls to him.

Also, Jonathan Wingo brought back a 4th, and he sucks, so trade Allen to someone desperate.

It's also made Moore probably bothered since he still fills that spot just fine or Kmet would be getting more chances in that role too.
