2024-2025 Blues Trade Proposals Thread.

I think JT Miller is the odd ball out of the Vancouver fiasco.
While I think Miller is the odd ball out purely because of his willingness to waive, shorter term, and lower cap hit, there are some talking heads out there that think both could go. Essentially, if the locker room has factions, then what do the "followers" do when the one on their side gets moved. There's still resentment. It's just a mess.

All that to say is that I would be listening on Miller over Pettersson. Miller is a prick. Has a chance to go sideways but in the short-term, I think our locker room could benefit from a prick--someone who could drag the boys into the fight. Obviously equally likely that his attitude concerns don't translate well, but I'd take the risk depending on what the ask is.

If they aren't careful, their window will slam shut if they don't quickly retool because Quinn will just walk in summer of 2027.

The only thing curious about Kessel is that Leddy is skating, but it does make sense that we'd want 7 healthy dmen anyway, and Springfield is currently in Iowa for a few days and then back to the east coast.

Might as well sit Leddy for the rest of the year and get younger defensemen some experience

The Leddy situation is weird. Strickland was on his radio show a week ago saying that he personally talked to Leddy, who told him that he’s ready to go and wanted to play last week.

I guess the Blues aren’t convinced he’s ready, or are worried he will have another setback soon. I don’t know.

Either way, I don’t really want him to come back this season anyways. I wouldn’t really like it if Broberg was our only young d-man in the starting lineup. I’d like to keep one of Tucker or Kessel in there too, and I think they provide an element that we need.
