Actually, he did call a timeout for the last face-off in the offensive zone.
I know. He said in the postgame that he called the TO to run a play with 6 seconds left after a reporter asked him if he called a time out to buy time for Igor. Then he said he didn’t even think about that, but that’s a really good point. The guy seems clueless to me.

You can do a quick test for concussion, unsure if the NHL uses it though.
Basically you complete the test when not concussed which gives your base line, then you take the test after a head knock and if you're off baseline they'll call it a concussion.

I don't have a problem with the idea of the concussion rule overall, but like I said it seems weird that they'll pull a player fro a hit to the head but not for a punch to the face

Is it a neutral evaluator for the concussion too? I believe the NFL does this

For people saying Shesterkin did look off and they may have been justified in suspecting concussion because he was squinting.. he wears contacts and he always does that because of sweat in his eyes. So does Kravtsov. I wear contacts and sometimes get bad stinging from sweat in my eyes while playing hockey too.
Sweat headbands or a bandana helps a ton with eye sweat. It changed everything when I started wearing them for games.
