Maybe people don’t wanna waste their $$$ watching such garbage
Whats his trade value?
Not really. Tickets for Saturday night start at $17.NHL tickets today are too expensive for me to criticize fans for not showing up to watch a bad/mediocre team.
Like people have bills to pay and going to a game with your family is likely going to cost around like $200.

It costs more to see the Liberty than it does to see the Islanders.
As nice as the UBS Arena is, they moved into it late to start the season in Nov 2021. Bad start to the season and honestly, have been a borderline team since.Gotta win to have fans there. NYI hasn't really been an exciting team for some time now. They have the pieces to retool, bring in some offence.
Still a lot less expensive than teams in New York who are well-attended.Okay also add on parking, food and fees on top of those tickets.
100% agree, but $200 for a family to get to game sounds like a dream from an Oilers pricing standpoint.NHL tickets today are too expensive for me to criticize fans for not showing up to watch a bad/mediocre team.

$200?! Where the f*** are you buying tickets lol.
I just dropped $570 for 5 tickets to Detroit/Chicago, off center, in the upper bowl. Fees are what get you now.
Well duh, the Oilers are a Stanley Cup contender with the best player in the world. And no offense, but the options for winter entertainment in Edmonton, Alberta aren't overflowing. The Islanders are a team that won't make the playoffs after sneaking into bottom spots the last couple years off the strength of playing a lot of low scoring games that went to overtime a lot. Not rebuilding. Not real hope of competing. Just in a deadzone until they get a new Exec to blow it up and do the tank thing.100% agree, but $200 for a family to get to game sounds like a dream from an Oilers pricing standpoint.

Pretty hard to get that for $500 anymore, either!Damn I'd rather pay an extra 500 bucks and rent a cabin by a lake for a whole week. Sporting events are getting out of control in terms of cost. Its awful.
Even during the decade of darkness, prices far exceeded the price example listed.Well duh, the Oilers are a Stanley Cup contender with the best player in the world. That's not a comparable situation.
Roger’s Place is no different. If you can survive the tickets for a family or even ourselves, buying any single items at Roger’s Place costs a mortgage. Two double whiskey and cokes cost around $50 CAD.It costs $200 for me to see the Rangers. The family can go kick rocks.
The Garden is just about sold out every night.
I hate MSG price-gouging and that's another issue we can have a separate conversation about, but there's very little evidence that price point drives attendance.
Agreed, anywhere inside the goal line irrespective of how high or low works for me. Unfortunately, most of those have hiked up prices universally it seems. It's a dream from most fans' standpoint.
And using cheap seats to prove otherwise is kind of a bad argument. I don't need to be lower bowl but I wanna at least be on the sides rather than shoved in a corner nosebleed that's 400 feet from the other side of the ice.

Though I did have a nice studio AirBNB for a weekend Wings game in December for about $100/night. It was on a Anchor Bay... But it was December.
And they can get away with it because the casuals will keep showing up.Even during the decade of darkness, prices far exceeded the price example listed.

I can only imagine having to go to MSG and paying USD with the conversion right now.
I meant 500 more so a grand total.
But honestly I have found it much cheaper to go on a trip than a game recently lol. I just listen or watch the game and while I am there. More relaxing and no drunk people. Then HFboards gives my fix of awful fans lol
