Not true.I hate the Bruins with a passion but i'm not sure that's even a penalty. Definately not interference as G was reaching for a puck that was within reach. From the vids i can't tell for sure if it was a head shot or shoulder to shoulder.

As a Montreal fan, I've seen hits like this all the time.

Gionta is small, like most of Montreal and their prospects that have potential.

Aside from the fact that Gionta never had the puck, it looks clean.

Based on precedent this shouldn't be a suspension, but personally I think it should be. Don't like these type of hits which aren't really necessary hockey plays, but just more an excuse to light someone up. Similar to the Orpik hit.

If it was truly 100% shoulder to shoulder, Gionta would have been better able to protect himself during the fall. He hits the ice so awkwardly because he's already stunned from the hit, his head got some of the impact IMO.
