Marty should have started Hrebik tonight he deserves more time especially when he’s clearly played better than Hillebrandt

The way some of the depth guys like Stewart and Lowe have played this year Barrie will have a hard time finding someone at the deadline to trade for because there’s really no room in the top 9 to make any moves. It’s really nice to see because I think this colts team can still be very strong next season aswell

There is a very delicate balance. If he chose to, Marty could possibly move Wigle and picks for Allard, Swick, VanSteensel.
I don’t think a Vaughn-Musty exchange for example, to play OA Wigle on the 4th line would be a good idea.

In the Meaf
I see a few more of the Colts are suspended due to Friday nights antics. Hopefully they get this crap outa them now and start playing a consistent 60 mins of hockey. 3 Games for Bode Stewart and two for Sugar Ray Newton.

Oster did not have a great night but this game really exposed Oshawa’s two main weaknesses - - lack of depth and a complete lack of toughness.

Their 4th line has been horrendous and it was God-awful last night. Oshawa desperately needs to add at least two dependable forwards.

I have no idea what their fascination is with Harrison Franssen and the sooner they unload Brady Smith the better OLine for everyone.

When Aitcheson leveled Sennecke into the end boards he was fully expecting to fight someone and even dropped his gloves when Luke Torrance skated over towards him.

But Torrance did absolutely nothing and just quickly skated back to the bench. It’s inexplicable how an assistant captain could watch the team’s best forward get crushed into the boards and have ZERO response.

Oster made some outstanding saves.
Yeah, Torrance could have stood up for Seneke without getting the instigator; or, 6’3” Seneke could have stood up for himself. Oshawa did get the PP, so maybe Torrance made the right decision.

I was looking at the Colts prospects and noticed 2024 2nd rounder Ben Bowen who was supposed to play in Chilliwack of the BCHL hasn't played a game anywhere this season and isn't on their roster. Gotta wonder what's going on there. With the recent NCAA changes that could be an internal depth addition but playing no games by mid November is a concern.

I think he had an injury potentially a shoulder I think don’t quote me on that but something to do with an injury I’m pretty sure. Hope he’s on the colts next year.

Marty’s gotta find a way to get hemming more involved offensively 3 goals in 20 games for a first round nhl pick just isn’t good enough

Marty's soon going to phone the Gens offering Hemming for Kevin Niedenz... Lol Olausson 2.0
U never know lol the colts have struggled to get there first round nhl pick imports to produce u had Olausson, Sale, and now hemming. It’s weird with sale had 38 points in 49 ohl games last year and this year he’s got 9 points in 11 AHL games. Some imports games are much better suited for pro hockey then junior it seems.

I think Hemming will figure it out after Christmas. He's way more engaged in the play and aggressive than Sale and Oluasson were. Also Hemming has been solid defensively. Just needs to get his good shot off quicker.
Will see I hope so cause not sure this colts team can compete with the real heavyweights in this league if one of their 1st round nhl picks isn’t producing. I think adding a LW/C at the deadline is key for the depth of this team come playoffs and for the rest of the regular season in case of injury or suspension. Can’t have Derbidge immediately going into the top 9 once someone’s out. Don’t think it has to be a superstar just someone that’s got enough talent to play top 9 mins that wouldn’t cost u Vaughan. Then once u bring in that guy Lowe/Wigle/Stewart possibly the guy u bring in would have to play some 4th line mins some nights when everyone’s in the lineup.

I think bringing in someone to play with Beaudoin and Patterson is the only real hole this team has. Then the lines would be
Stewart Wakely Gardiner
Trade Beaudoin Patterson
Jelsma Wigle Hemming
Lowe J.Newton Vaughan
Dubowsky

I know Lowe has had a good season but this would be the lineup when everyone is fully healthy and even with this u could move Lowe up to the third line and bring Wigle down and move Jelsma to center. And that would give u more options then to play Derbidge top lines with guys with better talent once someone goes down. I’d think it’d have to be a trade for a 05 possibly McCue or Foster those would cost a fair amount not Vaughan tho. The player I think that would fit in nicely to Barrie is Aspinall in flint Barrie’s in flint tonight and he’s a huge 6”7 06 born LW 5th round nhl pick to the rangers. And you’d have him this year and next could potentially cost u Vaughan but maybe not depending on what his value is at the deadline if he’s even available.

Actually another flint guy that could be available that would fit the colts well would be Clattenburg hard nosed 05 with some talent.

I’m hoping he does well at the world juniors and can build off a good performance when he comes back to Barrie.

A bit harsh, but just move Wigle & picks for Swick.

Looks like Hemming heard the concerns with his one timer snipe on the PP last night.
Hopefully it’s the start of him finding his game. It’d take this team to the next level. Hillebrandt starting again today so Hrebik must be out with a injury.

Yeah Marty said he had a minor injury that would keep him out for the weekend. With that said I would have started Jaswal today. He looked good in camp for a 16 year old goalie.
