I think xhejai cross checking Clarke in the back of the head was way worse. ik they have helmets on but there's a reason why blows to the back of the head r banned in boxing. can lead to serious neurological damage
No you don't

What was Marty doing starting West tonight?

Re: Connor Punnett - I just noticed he hasn't appeared in the series, presume injury. Does anyone know what and how long? Thanks.

Definitely appeared to be right shoulder, and not good. ((Maybe)) 2nd round, that would be ~3 weeks

Colts make it out of the series against Hamilton. Hopefully Clarke is fine after being run after the buzzer. Always a good series against North Bay and I don't expect this one to be any different!
Will be nice to see some 2nd round hockey in Barrie. The Colts and the Battalion don't have a lot of love for each other, should be an exciting hard hitting series!

NO love for each other.., (LOL) That goes back quite a bit, ever since the Colts fielded several 2 sport candidates for the Olympic Diving Team. :naughty: Arnsby hits anything in an opposing jersey that moves (plays an excellent defensive/2 way game too!), NB's depth is matched by few in the O and Barrie is going to have a problem with the best goalie in the league between the pipes (DiVincentiis). Is it going to be a tough series? Hell yes it will be; I'd expect nothing less. But there are just too many factors going in favour of the Battalion to be ignored.

Verdict: Going to be a tough one for sure, but NORTH BAY in 6.

Can't argue that. I like the Colts Blueline and top 6, but Thornton will have to be at the top of his game against DiVincentiis. I'd give the Battalion the edge in net and the forward depth. Got to think Arnsby and Frasca will see a lot of eachother. Should be a good series.

Rough start but they battled back hard and won it! They've got more to give than that game which is a good sign. Thornton was fantastic. Kept them in it the first 30 minutes or so.

I know it's a team game and everything, but if Vierling is out long term after that hit as I suspect he will this will be very tough series to win.
It was a clean hit - shoulder on body. The way he fell was the biggest problem; whiplashed his neck, then having his head smack the ice like that. I know Barrie fans and North Bay fans are chirping each other and talking a LOT of crap right now - but I turned to another fan sitting in my row and said "This guy's hurt bad..." As much as we may profess rivalries with each other no real fan of the game is going to want to see that happen to a player of *either* side. For the sake of his long term health, Vierling should be sent to the sidelines. It was great to see him get up and all - but he needed two of his teammates holding him upright to get him to the bench, and I was close enough to see that while the lights were on, there was quite clearly no one at home. His eyes weren't even well focused.

Colts dominated game 3 but lack the scoring touch without the poise of #41. Hope he is OK. Was a dumb decisionby Nelson to put his stick up on Savard. It was nice to see Savard draw a dumb penalty instead of take one. Pretty weak attendance for second round hopefully a better turnout. Can't let the troops fans take a whole section! Lol.

Hope the boys rally and take game 3, they'll need more of the same effort.

Funny the attendance is the same situation as last year. Going head to head with the Leafs does not help

Colts and much of the OHL honestly don't draw regular season numbers usually till later in the playoffs. Less groups, no school night games. This is honestly the highest I've seen it outside of 2010 playoffs. Saying that, there isn't much left for tonight. Should be close to a 4000+ crowd.

Attended the game last night in Barrie.

Was supporting North bay but come to compliment Barrie fans.

Those in our section were super nice and a ton of fun.

Always a blast coming to the Barrie arena. Never a bad experience.

Hopefully those renos go through and you finally get a memorial cup. Fan base and team deserve it.
