Didn't feel like we looked dangerous on offense this afternoon, but I didn't really feel like Toronto did, either. Combine that with their goalie making a couple big saves and two or three questionable penalties called on us, and you get the above result. Better luck tomorrow.

It's been 8 games now. How does Muk look?

2 points. Not a great sign.

You have to think that even next year, the Sharks will start with Ferraro, Walman, and Liljegren. Thompson is playing his way into a permanent spot.

That's leaves two spots for Thrun, Mukhamadullin, Cagnoni, and Dickinson. Also, I imagine that the Sharks want one more veteran defender, so perhaps just one spot is available.

Carriere in net, with an EBUG. Romanov not available (no explanation as to why). Meanwhile the Marlies go with Matt Murray in net.

Coe and Furlong in, Carlsson and Houle out.

This play by play guy absolutely loves Brandon Coe.

End of the first. Cuda mostly in control, but not really a lot going on. One power play apiece, shots are 6-3 SJ.

We have been pretty good on the forecheck.

Ugh. Marlies score with 7 seconds left in the second on a rebound. Bounced right to Stevens. I was actually just thinking to myself it was going to take a bit of a lucky bounce to break the deadlock.

Marlies had some good chances in the second, but this is still a really tight game. 1-0 Toronto, end of two.

Looking at the replay, I have no idea where tf Keane (94) was going on this play:

My issue with an analysis like this is that if Cagnoni had a 16% chance of becoming a superstar and a 58% chance of being an NHLer in his draft year, then there's no way he goes in the 4th round. I'm wondering how many other prospects had a similar profile to Fox but flamed out?
It’s all statistical probabilities. As in, based mostly on player statistics, league trends etc. Height clearly played a part in him dropping. They can’t really come up with a relatively accurate way to incorporate more complex attributes like height, coachability etc.

My issue with his analysis is he’s constantly wrong about everything and people still take his stupid cards seriously. Unless he meant Ryan Merkley had a 90% chance or whatever of being a KHL star, although even that seems generous at this point.

I saw he even dipped his toe in U.S. election analysis the other week and declared the 2020 presidential election must have been rigged because the 2024 vote totals were so much lower. He had no idea California and many other states take a month or longer to count every ballot. This is the level of statistical genius we’re dealing with.
