Good start by the Cuda, but Knights started getting a lot more pressure at the end. 1-1 after one.
Okhotiuk looks solid so far. Moving around well, physical, doesn't do anything too fancy. They haven't been using the third pairing that much, it seems like.

That came unraveled fast, wow. 3-1 Knights. Least goal 3 was an impressive one.
4-1 Knights on a SHG. Think Makiniemi should've had that one..

End of 2nd, still 4-3. Barracuda will start the third on the PK, which hasn't gone well for them so far this season.
Basically just a disastrous opening five minutes to this period, but they're working their way back into it.

8:20 to go, still 4-3. HSK just got Raska'd, though, so Cuda going on a power play. Liked the way Raska drew that interference call.

Good for Coe. He’s looking better to start this season.
Coe giveth and Coe taketh away. He takes a hooking penalty and Henderson scores on the PP, 5-4 with 3:44 to go.

Nice comeback but too many goals given up. The PK has to improve to win games.

Cuda just seemed like they were not ready at the start of the second, I don't know what happened there. After that, they played a good game 5 on 5. Thought Makiniemi had a so-so game. Team had too much trouble getting the puck out of our zone at times.
In addition to the PK woes, it's good that we got 2 PPG tonight but I'm a little bothered by the fact that Henderson's method for killing penalties was just taking possession of the puck and skating it into our zone. Led to the SHG that made it 4-1.
We're showing better discipline but penalties are somehow hurting us more than last year, it feels like. PK is at 45.4% at the start of the year. Yes it's a small sample size but that is awful. There was different personnel on the PK this time but obviously that didn't help a whole lot.

Goals 2 and 4 should have been stopped by Etu. Goal 3 was just a filthy between the legs snipe. Barracuda were the better team but Patera made the saves.
But more importantly, I won the 50/50 drawing for 3 grand much to the chagrin of the HSK fans around me.

Coe looked great. He had a breakaway early in the first where he just absolutely turned on the jets. Had no idea.

No, they just said he was day to day at the start of the season. I assume it won't be too long.
Game has started and we're still watching a horse walk around on AHL TV.
