We could be by all intents and purposes out of the playoff picture in one week. Games against the red hot Flames, a Stars team we're fighting with, the best in class Avs, and what SHOULD be a gimme against the Coyotes. If we don't go 3-1 I think we don't really have a shot.
Worst case Ontario what comes around is all around.

Thank God for my Cub Cadet SnoBlower...

It was deceptive out there this morning... the wind packed 2 1/2 - 3 foot snow drifts and the chopper had to go to work...

Got some neighbors driveways done... the sidewalk all the way up to Roblin on my block done - I do this for the older folk to walk their dogs... they appreciate it...

As for the Jets... this is a tough schedule, the lineup is a good AHL lineup, at least half...

And I am being hopeful and trying to be positive...

A few more losses... and it's time for Chevy to start wheeling and dealing..

I'm tired... even though the Cub' is self propelled... had to wrestle it through packed snow, even up the sidewalk to Roblin...

I have an hour of practice at Golftec later today... will have to pace myself... working on fundamental details anyways... should be good for me...

Working most of the day tomorrow, but when I get home will join in the fun against the Flamers...

Go Jets Go !!!

This schedule due to the make up games was always going to be incredibly challenging. It's why playing your core forwards 20 plus minutes a game constantly wasn't a good idea.

Had the team taken care if things earlier you could excuse off games every now and then during this stretch. But as it is they have left themselves very little if any room for error.

Agree, and yet how many years have we seen this? Top line(s) run into the ground, while the 4th gets little to no time, whether they play well or not. Frustrating.

They left a lot of soft points on the table early. Maybe they find some life and beat CGY and/ or COL, but if not it's a very, very long climb back up.

Of course, some of us just had to go to the Sub Cadet website and satiate our curiosity. It appears that toques are de rigueur while blowing snow.

Yes, I’m sure low turnout in HFJETS post game threads are of major concern to Chipman. Assuming he’s knows they exist at all that is.
Just overall interest in the team, here as merely a barometer, is what I meant just to clarify for Ducky. Bloody Lordy I guess I need to spell it out for some.

I don’t get Lory’s decisions.
Why is the schief line still the top line. Pld’s line has been better in both zones all season long. Brooks on 2nd line over harkins. Stanley over Heinola. This last one is hopefully short term. I can see the rationale if Stan would have to go on waivers. So move Stanley at tdl and move Heinola back up again.

A little while ago, someone posted on here some statistics about the Jets' success rate when playing matinees.

We play another matinee tomorrow on Presidents Day and I was trying to recall if afternoon games are good for us or not. Yeah, given the Flames record this month, especially at home, I'm not expecting too much, but if whoever the poster was if you have the stats handy I'd like to see them again. Thanks.

Just think what could have been with him as the third centre!!
I feel for the guy. Class act all the way, underappreciated and undervalued.
What 5 million $ contract would be coming out of the lineup though. It may be a wash in what it brought to the table for the team with Little healthy and counting on the books.

Brief live report:

Goose Island is decent beer. It seems to taste better with a hoser touque garnishing one's head.

Decent tail end of the third. Wasn't crazy about the reffing. The early Jets 5 on 3 was kind of a sad reckoning.

Coelacanth of the game:

#17 Adam Lowry!! Beauty 5 hole shorty breakaway #skewerKosko

Met up with the rest of our fam after the game for a beer and a curry. So, we squeezed some joy from this venture after all.
